Aloy's Horizon Forbidden West Outfit is available in Ghost of Tsushima for players to unlock. While both are under the PlayStation umbrella, it's common for developers from different studios to introduced fun crossover events. With Horizon: Forbidden West scheduled to be a massive hit for PlayStation and PlayStation 5, Aloy has appeared in tons of different titles in the gaming space. She's available as her own unlockable character in Genshin Impact and was shortly available as a Fortnite skin. Now, an outfit inspired by her design in Forbidden West can be owned by Jin in Ghost of Tsushima.
For starters, this is only available for those who own the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. Since this Director's Cut introduced a brand new island, this is where the Aloy quest will take place. The update has been available for since February 8th and likely will remain in the game indefinitely. The game not only gives Jin an Aloy outfit but also an entire Forbidden West's-themed mission to complete and it all begins at the Forbidden Shrine.
First, the player will need to have access to the Tadayori Armor. It's unlocked by completing the Legend of Tadayori Mythic Tale and is required for this mission. To unlock Aloy's outfit in Ghost of Tsushima, players will need to go to the Forbidden Shrine in the northern section of Iki Island. It can be found nearby Sly Hunter's Forest on the map. Upon arriving, there will be a scroll speaking about taking up the archer's mantle. It's a simple riddle that will begin the player's mission.
Unlocking Aloy's Outfit in Ghost of Tsushima
After reading the scroll, change into Tadayori's Armor and press the touchpad to switch into hearing mode, draw the bow and arrow and aim it at the red shrine. It will be the only thing in bright colors at this moment. Shooting it will change the color from red to blue and two more red spots will appear. Shoot both of them with an arrow to complete this mission.
A short cutscene will play and the player will be rewarded with the Seeker's Attire and the Sign of the Hunter Headband. While this isn't the first time a special guest outfit has appeared in Ghost of Tsushima, this one comes long after the game's initial release. It was possible to get a Sly Cooper outfit in Ghost of Tsushima and now Aloy has made an appearance. It's possible that more PlayStation icons might make their way into this game as promotional material for the future. Since Horizon Forbidden West is releasing later this year, Aloy might appear again soon.
Ghost of Tsushima is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
