What The Gilded Age Season 3 Means For The Show
There Will Be New Fronts For Battle
Following the ending of The Gilded Age season 2 finale, which included a kiss between Marion (Louisa Jacobson) and Larry (Harry Richardson), the eight-episode third season will see the Russell family relatively firm in their status as societal leaders. As for Bertha (Coon), she is eying a prize that could elevate her family to new highs. George (Morgan Spector), as revealed in the official synopsis below, aims to revolutionize the railroad industry.
Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house. Peggy meets a handsome doctor from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear.
The Gilded Age's cast is already fairly large, encoming an impressive group of award-winning performers and acclaimed actors. That will expand further, with the addition of Bill Camp, Merritt Wever, Andrea Martin, Leslie Uggams, Jordan Donica, LisaGay Hamilton, Paul Alexander Nolan, Hattie Morahan, and Jessica s Dukes, among several others.

Our Take On The Gilded Age's Renewal
A Bit Of Fun To Add To HBO
Though it started on shaky ground, the show has built up a steady audience. It may even have some extra eyeballs on it after Coon's emotionally breathtaking performance in The White Lotus season 3. The Gilded Age is a different show in its setting and some of its concerns, but the potential for drama and conflict is shared. The great performances are, as well.
