Many viewers find Lorelai and/or Rory relatable, due to their personalities, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. And for those who need a recap, this is the right place to be; down below is a list of Lorelai’s five best and five worst traits!

BEST: She’s Outgoing

Lorelai and Rory go together like peanut butter and jelly, as Rory is an introvert and Lorelai is an outgoing and vibrant soul.

How much she talks, the outfits she wears, the energy she has (after a few cups of coffee), among other things go into and makes up her extroverted ways, as she is a bright and bubbly character.

WORST: She Can Hold Grudges

Despite how colorful and friendly she is, people know not to get on her bad side. She can get upset, and when really hurt, she can hold grudges.

From her relationships with men and her parents and even on to fights with Rory, Lorelai has been known to give the silent treatment, word vomit something that goes below the belt, and also bad mouth people.

BEST: She Is Stylish

Just as Lorelai’s personality is quirky, her style is, too. Over the years, she has shown off some amazing outfits, and she has made clothes and costumes.

She has a cozy and inviting home full of collectibles and antiques. She even started her own business running an inn, filling it with attractive pieces. She definitely has a flair that is put on display in a variety of wonderful ways.

WORST: She Has A Diet Of Junk Food

It is crazy that Lorelai looks so good and seems to be in good health when her diet is made up of junk food. There has never been any cooking in the house, meaning Rory and Lorelai turn to greasy takeout meals, frozen foods such as pizzas or sugary treats. And on top of all of that, there are copious amounts of coffee.

While it is okay to indulge in comfort food and body size does not matter, it is clear that Lorelai and Rory have fallen victim to Hollywood's impossible beauty standards while simultaneously displaying a love of junk food as a "quirk."

BEST: She Is A Great Friend

Lorelai is a generally nice and giving person, making her an excellent friend. In Stars Hollow, she volunteers to help with social functions, as well as lending a helping hand if, say, a neighbor needs someone to feed their pets or water their plants.

When it comes to her close friends, she is there for them through thick and thin. She even offers up gifts and words of advice. She makes sure the people around her feel cared for and special.

WORST: She Struggles In The Romance Department

While most of her interactions with people are warm and fuzzy, she does not always excel in the romance department. Sure, she is an attractive woman and quite the catch, but she gets cold feet, has been known to prematurely bail, and ended several very serious relationships in not-so-great ways.

Thankfully, as fans found out in Luke, the true love of her life.

BEST: She Is All About A Good Time

That bubbly personality and fabulous friendship make for a woman who knows how to have a good time and likes to have one, too. Some examples of this include the birthday parties she threw when Rory was a kid, the events she plans at the inn, and the way she goes all out with each event.

Whether it is something special like a bachelorette party or an Asian-themed distraction, or whether it is a normal Friday night, Lorelai fills it with fun.

WORST: She Can Be Selfish

Another one of Lorelai’s flaws is that she can be selfish. After she got pregnant, she left her family, not thinking about how it would affect her parents and just focusing on creating the best life for the next generation of Gilmore girls. In relationships, she wants it to be her way, for the most part.

She once even said, "I can be flexible. As long as everything is exactly the way I want, I'm totally flexible." While this can be seen as a funny line, the message behind it is that Lorelai only wants her way and is not open to compromise.

BEST: She Would Do Anything For Rory

The most important person in Lorelai’s life is Rory, and that is how it has always been. Moving away, starting her own business, her ups and downs with men are because she always keeps Rory at the forefront of her mind, making decisions that will be good for both of them.

These two have a special bond, and it is clear that they would do anything for one another.

WORST: She Is Not Always Nice To Her Parents

Lorelai did not want to be part of their world anymore, but she needed money, in order to help Rory go to Chilton and then college. Having everyone back together again has led to argument after argument, as Emily always thinks she knows best, and Lorelai is never one to hold back her true thoughts and feelings.

Deep down, they do all love each other, though.
