As mentioned above, the pair were staunch enemies upon their first meeting and became involved in an inevitable battle. However, they were forced to put their differences aside when a more significant threat arose: Mechagodzilla. At first, Godzilla nearly kills Kong, but the tables turn quickly when Godzilla finds himself overwhelmed by Mechagodzilla. It's only when Kong's friend Jia (Kaylee Hottle) convinces Kong to help his former foe that the Titans combine forces against Mechagodzilla.
