After players beat the story mode of Gotham Knights, they will probably be left wondering what to do next. The story mode makes up the bulk of players’ attraction to the game, but there are several goals players can shoot for to make the most out of their post-game experience. These new activities allow players to extend their journey through the gloomy streets of Gotham, continuing their quest to bring justice to the world Batman left behind.
Once players complete their first playthrough of the game and finally discover the true ending of Gotham Knights, it’s time to hop back into Gotham City. These activities include playing New Game+, playing through the story as another hero, completing all the achievements or trophies, and taking on each character’s time trials. Each of these activities adds hours of playtime onto the already expansive set of base challenges in Gotham Knights, especially when playing multiplayer with friends.
Although players can take on these goals in any order, the logical first step is starting a New Game+. Once players have hopped into the game with a fresh set of eyes and ears, they can tackle the residual goals they haven’t conquered. According to Twinfinite, certain activities can take players on a whole new journey during their next foray into Gotham Knights.
Playing New Game+
New Game+ takes players on a second journey through Gotham Knights while keeping their equipment and skills acquired in the first playthrough. While the story of Gotham Knights does not change in New Game+, it does allow players to experience Gotham City with a full arsenal of gizmos and the know-how to quickly dispatch enemies.
Playing As A New Character
Players who want to experience the game in a completely novel way may want to choose a new character as their story mode hero. For example, players who played as Robin can choose to sharpen their long-range skills and elemental abilities for Red Hood in their second playthrough. Each character has a different playstyle for players to master.
Completing Each Character's Time Trials
Players looking for more experiences with Gotham Knight’s traversal systems can also take on time trials created specifically for each character. After players unlock their character’s traversal ability, that character’s time trials become available. Players wanting to experience each character can quickly learn how to move throughout Gotham effectively using these time trial challenges.
Achieving The Platinum Trophy And 1000 Gamerscore
Finally, the most hardened of Gotham Knights players can take on the ultimate challenge of achieving the platinum trophy on PS5, 1000 Gamerscore on Xbox Series S/X, or gaining each achievement on PC. Although players will gain trophies and achievements while playing the game and defeating every villain in Gotham Knights, there are still plenty more to earn after the game ends. Some rarer achievements in Gotham Knights deal with reaching the maximum level with any character, defeating 30 mob godmothers, collecting all missing pages from the mythical Historia Strigidae, and preventing 250 crimes throughout Gotham City.
