While Hello Kitty Island Adventure primarily occurs at Big Adventures Park, a few locations, including Cloud Island, can be discovered beyond the original area. Unfortunately, significant progress must be made with the main storyline and the residents to unlock any of these additional areas.

On Cloud Island, plenty of new things await, such as two new friends, new clothing and furniture, new recipes, and an entirely new appliance. While Merry Meadow is somewhat easier to reach and unlock, Cloud Island, unfortunately, requires that all the different parts of the main island be restored, and even then, some friendship levels and quests must be unlocked as well.

Help The Residents Restore The Island

Repair Seaside Resort, Spooky Swamp, Mount Hothead, Gemstone Mountain, and Rainbow Reef

While playing through Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you should come to realize relatively quickly that one of the biggest goals on the island is to help Hello Kitty and the other Sanrio characters restore the different areas of it. Aside from the main Resort, you will also need to restore Spooky Swamp, Gemstone Mountain, Mount Hothead, and Rainbow Reef. Each one has a quest or two for this specific purpose, but all of these quests have different prerequisites of their own.

Aside from a few, the island's different areas don't have to be restored in any specific order, but completing other tasks will unlock them in the most natural order. Hence, it's best to just focus on leveling up friendships and then complete the Island-Mystery-related quests as they become available. There will be two different quest variants when restoring the island, including Power Crystal quests and Star Fragment quests, the latter of which will start to reveal Kiki and Lala.

If at any point you aren't sure what is keeping your quest from becoming available, you can open the quest log on the phone and select the quest you're trying to unlock. There, you will see what still needs to be completed. If you don't see the quest on the list, you are still far from meeting its requirements.

Furthermore, in addition to the island restorative quests, you may have noticed TOPHAT hanging out in the top right corner of the map recently, depending on how far you are. This is because TOPHAT will also have one last remaining quest for you that must be completed before Cloud Island can be unlocked.

Keep in mind that if a resident in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is busy with another quest, like a friendship quest, they won't be available for a story quest until the prior one is complete.

Once all of these have been completed, TOPHAT's quest, A Challenging Rescue, should become available and is the last step towards unlocking Cloud Island.

Once that's done, you should see the Stargazing quest with Hello Kitty unlocked, as long as she is at least at friendship level 17. This quest is the Cloud Island quest you've been waiting for.

The Stargazing Quest

Help Hello Kitty Find All The Sky Fragments

Once the quest is active, head over to the crescent moon-shaped island at night to find Hello Kitty. Interacting with her will initiate a sequence in which other residents of the island appear and stargaze together. Several stars will fall from the sky and crash onto the island during this stargazing. As you might expect, your task is to find all the fallen Sky Fragments using the vague locations on your map.

The first one will be the easiest to obtain as it lands right next to where the group is stargazing. Collecting this Sky Fragment will officially start the Stargazing quest. Luckily, as long as you've unlocked most of the fast-travel locations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, collecting all the pieces should be relatively simple. Be sure to interact with the residents at each fragment to collect it.

After collecting all the Sky Fragments, which should feel similar to collecting the power crystals in Hello Kitty Island Adventure and checking on all the required friends, report back to Hello Kitty on Moon Island. After a quick discussion concerning what the pieces are, all the fragments will together and form a star. This will then open up a mysterious portal, which, when interacted with, will transport you to Cloud Island.

Kiki and Lala, the residents of Cloud Island, aren't like traditional visitors, as they will be available for interaction and gifting once Cloud Island is unlocked, similar to Wish me mell in Merry Meadow. So, their friendships in Hello Kitty Island Adventure should be a priority at this point, especially if you want to explore the full extent of Cloud Island.

Once at the other end of the portal, speak with Hello Kitty, who will be confused about this new area. After a weird fog appears and then clears, Kiki and Lala will reveal themselves. The LittleTwinStars will introduce themselves as two new friends and inform you that you are now on Cloud Island. This will officially conclude the Stargazing quest, unlocking Cloud Island and all the mysteries it holds in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
