The 19th season of Fox's season from airing for over two years. Though the wait was long, it is mercifully over. Our chefs are back in the kitchen, under and over cooking scallops, and bracing themselves for Ramsay's wrath. While this season is brand new in the sense that it takes place entirely in Las Vegas, there is a familiar face returning. Christina Wilson is back as the Red Team's sous chef.
Many past sommelier and private chef in Napa Valley. The season 12 winner, Scott Commings, stayed in Las Vegas after his tenure at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill and has a well-established career running restaurants in the city. None, however, have gone on to have quite the successful personal and professional relationship with Chef Gordon Ramsay as Christina Wilson.
Christina weathered some dramatic storms in the infamous season 10. She always managed to keep her cool. When she won, Ramsay said, "I know I'm not rolling the dice with her in Vegas. With Christina, it's the real deal." Christina went on to take the executive chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Las Vegas (and the $250k prize), but she wasn't done with HK. Since season 10, Christina has appeared on every subsequent season of the show. Starting with season 15, Christina became a permanent fixture as the Red Team's sous chef.
Outside of Hell's Kitchen, Christina found a mentor in Chef Ramsay. After her time at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Las Vegas, she went on to serve as the executive chef of Gordon Ramsay Burger in Las Vegas. Later she began overseeing both Vegas spots as well as Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill in Atlantic City. She's appeared on Ramsay's other show, Hotel Hell. And when she had her Philadelphia row home undergo a makeover on the show, My Houzz, it was Ramsay who popped up as the surprise beneficiary of the revamp.
As of 2019, Christina lists her title as Corporate Executive Chef, U.S. Division, Gordon Ramsay Group. On a recent episode of season 19, Ramsay invited Christina's family and her girlfriend, Martha Wasser, to sit at the Red Team's chef's table for dinner service. Christina and Gordon have a wonderful relationship both in and out of the kitchen.
Hell's Kitchen airs Thursdays at 8pm EST on Fox.
