Warning: Contains SPOILERS for The Last of Us season 2, episode 3!

Abby and the WLF.

The Last of Us season 2, episode 3 picks up right after the shocking end of The Last of Us season 2, episode 2, in which Joel was killed by Abby. After showing the recovery of Jackson, episode 3 jumps three months into the future. Ellie, Dina, and several other characters are eager to leave Jackson, hoping to track Abby and her friends to Seattle in order to get revenge. Ellie and Dina eventually sneak out, with the episode ending as the duo arrives in Seattle and discovers exactly what they'll be facing off against.

The Last Of Us Season 2 Hints That The WLF Is A Lot Bigger Than Ellie Expects

Based On The Episode's Ending

Dina is the first one to propose the idea of going to Seattle to Ellie, as Dina is the one who discovers that Abby and her friends are heading there. According to Dina, the WLF symbol that Abby's friends bore reminded her of the Washington Liberation Front, an organization based out of Seattle. Since Dina hasn't heard about them since, she assumes that they are pretty small, meaning that her and Ellie can take them on.

The end of The Last of Us season 2, episode 3, however, proves Dina wrong. The episode closes with a company move, with a horde of WLF militia taking to the streets of Seattle. The militia are armed with tanks, guns, armor, and all kinds of other advanced weaponry that is far superior to what is seen in Jackson.

The Last Of Us Part 2 Game Proves How Large The WLF Is

It Is Even Bigger Than Jackson

Based on The Last of Us Part II, the WLF is even larger than what the HBO series has shown. The video game spends a lot of time with Abby in Seattle, showing what life is like living among the WLF. The WLF seems to be even bigger than Jackson, with each member of it being militarily superior to some of Jackson's strongest soldiers.
