In new art showcasing the Hulk's anatomy, the Marvel hero's insides are revealed, as he has green bones in the incredible variant cover. As part of the Marvel Anatomy variants from Marvel Comics, the Jade Giant's insides get a closer look - as the art makes a unique twist on the insides of the Hulk, as he sports green bones inside his massive frame.

The Hulk is arguably the strongest hero in the Marvel Universe, as his Gamma-powered strength, healing factor, and durability make him a near-unstoppable force. While the Hulk's insides have been revealed before, as comics like Immortal Hulk have quite literally dissected the hero and shown what he looks like on the inside - in a new Marvel Anatomy variant from Marvel Comics, the Hulk gets green bones that show off a new side of the longtime Avenger.

In recently revealed cover art by Jonah Lobe for Hulk #11 from Marvel Comics, the Hulk gets his own Marvel Anatomy variant that showcases the insides of the powerful hero. The image shows the Jade Giant standing as part of the insides of his body is exposed. Alongside the massive muscle that makes up the Hulk, the image features the hero with green bones - which twists previous interpretations of how the monster's insides look but is fitting for the character.

Are The Hulk's Bones Really Green?

Hulk Variant Cover Marvel Green Bones

What Hulk's bones look like is up for debate. The Hulk is so durable, and his skin is so impenetrable that readers haven't often seen what his real skeleton looks like - but in the rare times it's been shown, it hasn't been green. However, the Marvel Anatomy art seems to show Hulk at his full rage, so it's possible that when his powers are supercharged, his bones turn a different color. Or, it could be an artistic flourish that uses the green to keep a consistent tone across the Hulk's bones and real form on the outside. Regardless, the Marvel Anatomy cover is a fantastic, new perspective on the hero.

Seeing what makes the Hulk a Hulk is a great tease for the new Marvel Anatomy variant covers. The covers are based on the recently released Marvel Anatomy: A Scientistic Study of the Superhuman book by Mark Sumerak, Daniel Wallace, and Jonah Lobe, which deconstructs the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe. For the Hulk, whose variant cover from Lobe comes out in January on Hulk #11 from Marvel Comics, that means getting green bones.
