Irish Wish Is Part of Lindsay Lohan’s Acting Renaissance

Irish Wish is one of two films in a deal between Lohan and Netflix. The second film is an holiday movie titled Our Little Secret. Co-starring Kristin Chenoweth, Our Little Secret tells the story of two exes who have to awkwardly reunite for the holidays when they discover that their new partners are siblings. Our Little Secret and Irish Wish come after Lohan previously worked with Netflix on 2022’s Falling for Christmas.

Our Little Secret is directed by Stephen Herek and is currently in production.

Before these roles, Lohan was still predominantly known for her work as a child / teenage acting star. Throughout her youth, Lohan acted in several iconic roles, including in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Mean Girls. Since then, work slowed down significantly for the actress, as her career was reduced to B-movies and smaller TV show appearances.

What Happened To Lindsay Lohan After Mean Girls

Lindsey Lohan was at the top of her acting career when Mean Girls came out in 2004. The next two decades of her life featured a series of ups & downs.

Between Irish Wish and her other Netflix films, it seems that Lohan is now getting a long-deserved acting comeback. In this adult stage of her career, Lohan seems to have carved out her niche in the realm of romantic comedy. This makes sense given Lohan's acting background as a child actress, which generally was in the comedic realm and often involved romance drama elements. Hopefully, Irish Wish will continue to help Lohan rebuild her acting career.
