There is a lot of talk about Mephisto being cast in the MCU, and he might just replace one of the biggest MCU villains in the Doctor Strange, Marvel introduces the Lord of Chaos, Dormammu, a powerful entity that rules over the Dark Dimension. Despite only being seen once in the MCU, Dormammu is one of the stronger beings of the multiverse, and it's a shame that he hasn't made an appearance in the Multiverse Saga.

Dormammu's appearance in Ironheart would make perfect sense as he plays a part in Anthony Ramos's character, The Hood, in the comics, but it's very possible that Mephisto could replace the ruler of the Dark Dimension in the show. The rumors of Sacha Baron Cohen, best known for his role as Borat, being cast as Mephisto in the MCU are making their way around the internet, and he will supposedly appear in Ironheart. Whether this is for real or not, the idea of this specific character showing up in Riri Williams's solo show surprisingly makes sense, since the show is about technology going up against dark magic.

How Mephisto Could Replace Dormammu in Ironheart

The Hood and Mephisto

Dormammu is the one that gives Parker Robbins, The Hood, his powers in the comics. Parker is attacked by a demon in a cloak and ends up shooting it. He steals the demon's cloak and boots, thinking that the demon is dead, but ultimately that isn't the case as the demon is Dormammu. The cloak and boots give Parker the powers of dark magic, giving him the alias of The Hood, but it allows the dark entity to possess him in the end. It's a huge origin story for the villain to be possessed by Dormammu from the Dark Dimension, but Mephisto can easily replace the Lord of Chaos in this scenario.

In the comics, Parker's mother is in need of serious medical care, so if that crosses over into the MCU, Mephisto can be the one to help him out at a deadly cost. Mephisto is powered by the souls of the damned and likes to make bargains with the souls of the living. Parker being in a vulnerable state with his mother's condition makes him an easy target for Mephisto, and the Satan of Marvel can be the mystical being that gives Robbins the powers of The Hood instead of Dormammu.

The MCU Has Been Teasing Mephisto For A While

Now, the MCU has been teasing Mephisto for quite some time since the events of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Madisynn is sent to a Hell dimension and returns with a bloody heart that she got from a goat named Jake. The goat is a major resemblance to the Devil, and it's possible that the goat could be Mephisto in one of his many forms.

Mephisto's introduction to the MCU has been a long time coming. It's almost a matter of time with all of these teases and set-ups the MCU has been giving in its projects. Replacing Dormammu in Ironheart is a great way to introduce Mephisto into the MCU if these rumors end up being true.
