Jabra is gearing up to launch a new pair of unveil the Elite 4 Active last December.
Jabra's current earbuds' lineup includes the Elite 7 Pro, Elite 7 Active, Elite 4 Active, and Elite 3. The 'Active' models are designed for athletes and those who want a pair of earbuds that won't fall out during workouts. However, they are usually priced higher than the non-active models. Jabra also has more advanced earbuds that are geared towards athletes such as the Elite Sports which have a built-in heart rate monitor.
The Elite 5 earbuds are expected to feature the company's signature “Danish design,” closely resembling the Elite 3. The earbuds are stemless and lack wing tips but have an in-ear design as seen in product images shared on Twitter by tipster have an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, which means a light drizzle shouldn't damage them. The Elite 5 come in a pill-shaped charging case, and will be available in cream/off-white and gray/black color options.
The Elite 5 Will Have Active Noise Cancelation
The leaked images provide an early look at the earbuds and reveal some key details too. Like the Elite 3, the Elite 5 will also have 6mm speakers. However, the new earbuds will have some upgrades, including active noise cancelation (ANC) to block out external noise. The Elite 3 don't have ANC, but provide noise isolation and have a transparency mode called 'HearThrough.'
Jabra has also increased the number of microphones from four to six, which means each earbud will have three microphones for clearer voice calls. Another big upgrade the Elite 5 will have is for Bluetooth Multipoint which lets s pair the earbuds with two devices at the same time. They will also Alexa and Google Assistant, and like the previous generation, will be compatible with Android and iOS devices.
The Elite 5 will offer seven hours of battery life, and a total of 28 hours with the charging case. Talking about the charging case, it will both USB-C and wireless charging. A charging cable will be included along with three pairs of ear tips. The Elite 3 are priced at $79.99, and considering the Elite 5's upgrades, Jabra is likely to price the new earbuds higher.
