Josh Peck plays the Rabbi in the new Netflix movie adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's Drake and Josh, where he showed off his comedic abilities.

Peck is currently playing Drew in Oppenheimer, which could be a well-deserved big-screen break for Peck.

Peck's Jeffrey Lugz has many similarities to Josh Nichols from Drake & Josh. This is in how he is the only responsible person despite being a teenager, with his parents fighting the neighbors and him telling them they need to get inside. He also yells for emphasis, like he later did as Josh Nichols

Josh Peck in Mean Creek

Peck plays the bully George in this cautionary tale about a bullied teen whose brother and his friends plot to get revenge on the bully by humiliating him during a boating trip.

George is the rare antagonist role for Peck, who usually plays kinder characters. However, George isn't totally without sympathetic traits as he is lonely and wants to be accepted and part of the group, and he has a dream to be a documentary filmmaker.

The cast of The Guardian

Peck plays a rare unlikable role as Christopher Rapp in The Guardian episodes "Swimming" and "Blood in, Blood Out." The Guardian focuses on Nick Fallin, a successful lawyer who must do community service after being arrested for drug use and be The Guardian, a part-time children's advocate at Legal Aid Services.

Peck's Christopher Rapp is a complex and not very sympathetic character. While Christopher is concerned about missing his mother's birthday and gets injuries from another inmate at the juvenile detention center, he's also shown to be quite racist and had assaulted an eight-year-old girl.

Josh Peck as Randall Julian in Fillmore!

Peck gives his best Hannibal Lecter impression as Randall Julian in the episode "To Mar A Stall." Fillmore focuses on former delinquent Cornelius Fillmore and his partner Ingrid Third, who has a photographic memory, as they work on safety patrol at X Middle School.

Peck's Randall is both chilling and intimidating while also having a somewhat tragic backstory of being a formerly gifted macaroni artist who turned to graffiti tagging after getting less and less recognition for his work. It is also impressive that Peck manages to make Randall seem scary at such a young age.

Drake Bell and Josh Peck in Drake & Josh

Peck's most well-known role was as Josh Nichols in Drake & Josh, about two opposite stepbrothers who must learn to get along.

Josh Nichols played to Peck's comedic strengths and evolved as the show went on. Initially, he was very eccentric and socially awkward but then became much more balanced and charismatic as he got older. Josh Nichols had a very pronounced and distinct delivery - often speaking very loudly for emphasis. Josh Nichols is a genuinely kind person. However, he goes through a lot of pain due to Drake's schemes.

Josh Peck on ER

Peck plays the tragic role of Nick Stevens, a teenage boy who needs a third heart transplant in the ER episode "Thy Will Be Done."

Peck is quite convincing playing the very ill boy who doesn't want to go through a heart transplant despite the fact that it would save his life. It really hits hard when he says why he doesn't want the operation and how miserable he is. The role is a particularly sad and complex one for Peck at such a young age.

Josh Peck on Big Bang Theory

Peck makes a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory as Jesse, the charismatic rival of Stuart, in the episode "The Occupation Recalibration."

Peck plays against type as the suave, charming, and arrogant owner of a rival comic shop to Stuart. He is constantly trying to one-up Stuart and flirt with Bernadette. It's a very different role to his far more socially awkward characters.

Family Guy (1999-) - 8.2

Josh Peck on Family Guy

Peck plays another bully character as Charlie in the Family Guy episode "The Kiss Seen Round the World," though, in classic Family Guy fashion, Stewie puts him in his place.

Peck plays well opposite Seth MacFarlane's Stewey. The tables are turned as Charlie, the seemingly vicious bully, is one-upped by the even more cruel baby Stewey. Peck would go on to play their bully-like roles, but this was an early break from him more likable characters.

In this pilot episode, Peck's Lenny doesn't have much to do besides cruelly mocking Robot Jones for "eating with his butt;" however, once Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? went to series, he had far more to do. In the series, he went on to be a primary antagonist, along with his twin brother Donny, constantly embarrassing Robot Jones and trying to defeat him in contests.

Samurai Jack (2001-2017) - 8.5

Josh Peck on Samurai Jack

Peck may not immediately come to mind when thinking of the popular animated series Samurai Jack, but he voices S Kid, Alien kid, and Pig #3 in the episode "Aku's Fairy Tales."

Peck shows his talent for voice acting and playing multiple characters. S Kid is very sympathetic, being beaten up when playing make-believe Aku up against Samurai Jack. Alien Kid is skeptical of Aku's negative Samurai Jack fairy tales, and Pig #3 just squeals in a sequence inspired by The Shining.
