Warning! Spoilers for Dark Crisis #1 by DC Comics

Superman is recruiting for a new Justice League after DC's most iconic heroes perished in a devastating fight to save the Multiverse. However, in Dark Crisis #1 by DC Comics, forming a new team is more complicated than Jon Kent ever could have imagined. Everyone from Batman, Wonder Girl, to even Peacemaker rejected a spot on the roster for various reasons, leading Superman to think outside the box when constructing a replacement Justice League.

The Justice League lost its fight against Pariah and Great Darkness as the world's mightiest heroes were defeated and killed in their efforts to protect the Multiverse. In their absence, Jon Kent's Superman has taken the lead in forming a new Justice League to replace its fallen heroes. Unfortunately, while Superman has several DC Comics heroes in mind for ing a new team, the hero's recruitment efforts start rough as numerous heroes and even some villains reject him.

In Dark Crisis #1 by Joshua Williamson, Daniel Sampere, Alejandro Sanchez, and Tom Napolitano from DC Comics, Superman realizes the Earth needs a Justice League and travels across the globe to recruit new for the superteam. However, his first recruit, Wonder Girl, straight-up laughs in his face after he suggests she the new Justice League. Yara Flor reveals she just became Wonder Girl and can't give up on her post so quickly and become DC's new Wonder Woman. Ultimately, she rejects his offer.

Justice League Heroes DC Comics

Jon Kent's next call is Jayce Fox's Batman, to who he says, "Superman needs a Batman." But, again, he's rejected, as Batman tells him to recruit one of the Robins. DC Comics then shows a montage of Superman's recruitment efforts, as Peacemaker, multiple Flashes, Green Lantern, Swamp Thing, Firestorm, Shazam, Vixen, and Naomi all on ing the Justice League. Ultimately, the hero forms a new roster with Supergirl, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Dr. Light, Damian Wayne's Robin, Frankenstein, Killer Frost, Booster Gold, and both Blue Beetles. It's not the prettiest or most powerful team, but Superman's new Justice League is ready to replace the fallen heroes - at least for the time being.

Superman is trying to do the right thing and remake the Justice League in his father's and other fallen heroes' absences. However, recruiting proved to be a difficult task, as he was rejected multiple times by heroes he expected would . So, in the end, the replacement superteam isn't the strongest it can be. But, for Jon Kent, it's good enough, as he's trying to find some semblance of normalcy in a world without the Justice League.
