Why Kaiju No. 8 Might Be the Best Anime Of Spring 2024

There’s been a lot of anticipation surrounding Kaiju No. 8’s release, and it’s easy to see why that is. For starters, the series has a great team behind its production between Production I.G., which is always known for its great animation, and Studio Khara, which has utilized its experience with the Shin Japan Heroes Universe to give the Kaiju some of their best character designs yet. As the trailers have shown, both of these elements result in Kaiju No. 8 having some of the best visuals of anime in 2024, so far, so people are excited about that.

Beyond that, the story, itself, has also drawn a lot of attention to the series. Kaiju stories have always had a lot of appeal, and with Kaiju No. 8 starring an adult who gets by from his unconventional knowledge of Kaiju as opposed to another hotblooded teenage protagonist, it has a lot going on to make it stand out from a typical shōnen anime in the best of ways. All in all, there’s plenty to be excited about with Kaiju No. 8, and its first episode is sure to show off all of that and more.

Be sure to watch Kaiju No. 8 when it premieres on April 13.
