many Kirby games, the main story is only a fraction of Kirby’s latest adventure. The Waddle Dees have been captured by the dastardly Beast Pack, and it’s up to the heroic pink puffball to rescue them from every corner of this strange, new world. Fortunately for players who aren’t ready to leave the forgotten land after the story ends, there’s plenty left to do before they reach the game’s 100% completion rate.
To reach 100% completion in Kirby & The Forgotten Land, players will have to complete all the content the game has to offer. That includes beating the main story, completing Treasure Road stages, playing minigames, exploring post-game content, and finding every single collectible in the forgotten land. However, many of the 100% requirements build on each other, so working towards one goal will often help players get closer to completing another at the same time.
Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s completion rate is displayed on the pause screen, so players can easily check their save file’s progress by pausing the game. Completing the game’s 100% requirements will also unlock new figures and photos that Kirby can display in his house, giving players another way to keep track of what they’ve accomplished so far. Like many other titles in the Kirby series, there’s also a special reward for players who achieve the coveted 100% completion rate.
Beat Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Main Story
A large part of reaching Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s 100% completion rate involves beating the main story itself. Kirby will explore six different worlds on his adventure, and each one has about four or five stages that must be cleared before he reaches the boss at the end of every world. Then, after Kirby faces off against the of the Beast Pack and takes on the final boss at the end of the game, he’ll have the freedom to go back through the game’s stages to finish any extra missions and objectives he missed that are required for 100% completion.
Rescue Every Waddle Dee & Complete Every Mission In Kirby TFL
In every level, several captured Waddle Dees in Kirby TFL need help to get safely back to Waddle Dee Town. Kirby must rescue the three Waddle Dees at the end of every stage to progress to the next, but he’ll also find several Waddle Dees hidden throughout each stage that need help as well. While some of these Waddle Dees are easy to spot, others are hidden in obscure corners of the stage or require Kirby to solve a puzzle to rescue them.
Additionally, each stage has several unique mission trophies that Kirby must achieve to rescue the last remaining Waddle Dees in each level. In total, there are 300 Waddle Dees scattered throughout the forgotten land. As the Waddle Dees return to rebuild the town, more facilities will become available, many of which also factor into the game’s 100% completion rate.
Complete Every Treasure Road In Kirby & The Forgotten Land
In addition to the main stages in each world of Kirby & The Forgotten Land, Kirby and the Waddle Dees will discover secret Treasure Roads in every corner of the map. These special side stages each feature a timed trial that Kirby will have to complete using a specific Copy Ability or Mouthful Mode. Not only will Kirby have to find and complete every Treasure Road to reach 100% completion, but he’ll also need the Rare Stones at the end of each one to evolve his Copy Abilities. However, players won’t need to beat each Treasure Road’s target time to get to 100%.
Unlock & Evolve Every Copy Ability In Kirby & The Forgotten Land
Kirby & The Forgotten Land introduced Evolved Copy Abilities, which upgrade Kirby’s classic Copy Abilities with brand new moves that pack a powerful punch. To unlock these Evolved Abilities, Kirby will have to find Blueprints hidden throughout the game’s six worlds, which he can then take to the Waddle Dee Weapons Shop in town to add them to the shop’s line-up. However, Kirby will also have to pay for these evolutions with Rare Stones and Star Coins before using them in the game. Evolving Kirby’s Copy Abilities will get players closer to 100% completion, but it will also add new figures to the Gotcha Machine that Kirby needs to complete his collection.
Complete Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Isolated Isles Levels
After Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s credits roll and Kirby returns to Waddle Dee Town, he’ll be able to explore the post-game Isolated Isles. This new world features strange Forgo Dream versions of every world from the main story, and there are new puzzles and enemies to increase the difficulty and keep Kirby on his toes. However, instead of searching for hidden Waddle Dees, Kirby will need to recover the fragments of Leon’s soul that have been scattered throughout the Isolated Isles. There are 300 Soul Pieces in total, and while Kirby will only need to find 250 to save Leon, he’ll need to track down every single Soul Piece to achieve 100% completion.
Beat All Of Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Colosseum Cups
Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Colosseum gives Kirby the chance to test his might in three different tournaments against the game’s biggest, baddest bosses, and he’ll have to win every cup to reach 100% completion. To unlock the Kirby TFL's Colosseum, Kirby will have to defeat Clawroline in the boss stage of the Wondaria Ruins. The first cup is the Meta Knight Cup, which Kirby will be able to enter as soon as the Colosseum is open.
Kirby can enter the Ultimate Cup once he beats the game’s main story. However, the toughest challenge of all is the Ultimate Cup Z, which only unlocks after Kirby clears the Forgo Land stage of the Isolated Isles. Beating all three is required for the game’s 100% completion rate, and Kirby will receive a few special figures for his victories that count towards the completion rate.
Beat Every Waddle Dee Town Minigame In Kirby TFL
There are three minigames in Kirby & The Forgotten Land’s Waddle Dee Town that Kirby can unlock as he rescues the captured Waddle Dees, but he’ll have to beat all of them to reach 100% completion. The Waddle Dee Cafe’s Help Wanted minigame, and Tilt-and-Roll Kirby have three levels that players have to clear for the game’s completion rate, but the fourth extra-hard Tilt-and-Roll Kirby is level isn’t required to reach 100%. To beat the Fishing Pond minigame, Kirby will need to reel in a golden Bling Blipper worth a whopping 500 Star Coins. Kirby will also receive a special figure for beating each minigame, so players will know that they’ve cleared the game’s 100% completion requirement when these figures are added to their collection.
Upgrade Kirby TFL’s Waddle Live! Corner Stage
Once Kirby beats the main story in Kirby & The Forgotten Land, the Waddle Live! Corner Stage will open near the Cinema in Kirby TFL's Waddle Dee Town, and Kirby will have to fund two-stage upgrades to get to 100%. Kirby can request that the band play different songs from the soundtrack to temporarily change the music in Waddle Dee Town, and upgrading the stage will expand the list of tracks available. The first upgrade requires 1,000 Star Coins, and the second costs 2,000. However, Kirby can toss as many coins as he wants into the band’s guitar case, so he won’t have to pay for the upgrades all at once. Once the stage has been fully upgraded, Kirby will receive another special figure, and he’ll be one step closer to achieving 100% completion.
