The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise continues on with the Knuckles TV show. After being teased at the end of the first movie, Knuckles made his big screen debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with Idris Elba voicing the fan-favorite character. The red echidna creature began as an enemy to Sonic only to team up with him in the end, setting the stage for Knuckles' story to continue on the small screen with the Knuckles TV show ahead of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

While the Sonic franchise has spawned several popular ing characters, including Tails, Shadow, and Amy Rose, arguably the biggest star of the series next to Sonic himself has been Knuckles. Helping to drum up even more interest in the Sonic franchise's small-screen debut, the trailer for the Knuckles TV show has been revealed. Besides showing off the character, the teaser also reveals a bit of the plot of the show as Knuckles attempts to put the events of Sonic 2 behind him, but finds himself face-to-face with one of Dr. Robotnik's former acolytes who hope to seize power. The trailer also hints at the emotional struggle that Knuckles faces as he has a hard time balancing his life as a warrior and his new life on earth.

The Knuckles TV show cast will be led by Idris Elba with his performance in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 being a fan-favorite aspect of the sequel. It was confirmed that there would be other returning Sonic the Hedgehog characters ing him with Adam Pally as Wade playing a big role. Tika Sumpter will also reprise her role as Maddie in the series.
