Leverage: Redemption season 3 dropped on Prime Video on April 17 and promises to be an action-packed season, full of drama, comedy, tragedy, engaging cons, and interesting character work. Quirky fan-favorite Parker is set to play an even greater role in the narrative makeup of the show during this season.

ScreenRant interviewed Devlin for Leverage: Redemption season 3, and the showrunner teases how the season is set to focus heavily on Beth Riesgraf's complex cat burglar. He reveals the changes that Parker has had to work through throughout Redemption, as well as the original Leverage show. Devlin explains that Parker's past, coupled with the fact that she is neurodivergent, means she has suppressed elements of herself to be more functional in the team. However, he hints that the time has arrived where Parker will need to face these elements and re-examine who she is. Check out Devlin's full comments below:

I think this is probably our most Parker-centric season that we've ever done. Parker is not like other people, and she's aware of that, and she has suppressed certain things about her own personality in order to adapt, to be a better team player, to, in her mind, function better, but suppressing something doesn't heal it.

So, this season, she ends up re-examining some of the things that she's suppressed, and it takes her to some very different places, especially in the season finale. And as creators, to get to go there was really interesting, but to watch Beth as an actress go there was truly spectacular. Some go very comic, but some go very, very dramatic. This season is a real look at Parker in a way that we haven't looked at her before.

What This Means For Parker's Season 3 Story

This Could Be A Season That Pushes Her To Her Limits

The Leverage: Redemption season 3 trailer shows that the stakes are higher than ever for this season. Parker herself is sure to have a traumatic season, and the trailer shows her being stabbed, which is sure to be a core plot point. Like most of the Leverage team, Parker is a complicated and damaged person, and has a past that she is desperate to escape.

Leverage: Redemption season 3 is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.

But it feels like the ghosts of the past could be set to catch up with Parker, and Devlin's comments tease that the character will be in a very different place by the end of season 3. Riesgraf's range as an actress is set to be tested in the season of the show, and Parker could be in for a rough ride.

The character's quirky aloofness has made her a firm fan-favorite, but there have always been questions about her past, and her mysterious backstory. It seems clear from Devlin's comments that more will be uncovered about Parker's past in season 3, and it might not all be positive. This is sure to be a thrilling and exciting season for Parker enthusiasts, and her character evolution is sure to play a huge role in the season.
