After a lengthy wait, Amazon Prime Video's Leverage: Redemption has finally returned for its third season, but will it get renewed for season 4 soon? Spun off from the TNT drama of the same name, Redemption catches up with the surviving of the original team as they use their particular set of skills to fill in the gaps where the law fails. Serving up their own brand of justice, the Leverage crew set their sights on the wealthy criminals of the world who need to be cut down to size.
Originally debuting on Amazon's Freevee in 2021, the spinoff proved to be a smash-hit for the free streamer. A second season followed close behind, and a third was ordered as well. Unfortunately, real-world delays kept season 3 off the small screen for over two years, and the show jumped to Amazon Prime Video in the interim. Season 3 finds the team taking on a corrupt mayor, extortion, and even illegal child labor, and proves the concept is just as fresh now as it was in 2008. Though it isn't confirmed yet, Leverage: Redemption season 4 seems like a foregone conclusion.

Leverage: Redemption Season 4 Latest News
A Cautious Update On Season 4 From Dean Devlin
With the long-awaited return of the series in April 2025, the latest news comes as a cautious update on Leverage: Redemption season 4 from Dean Devlin. The legendary showrunner spoke candidly about the chances of another season for the spinoff, and he pinned his hopes on the success or failure of season 3. "There's all kinds of things that have to get considered that we didn't have to deal with before," said Devlin, commenting on the changing TV landscape. According to Devlin, streaming has completely changed the paradigm, making it tough to know what will hit and what will miss.
As is usually the case, Devlin mentioned viewership numbers as the deciding factor, saying, "If we hit the right targets, I think we will get a fourth season." Jokingly, Devlin also said that he'd be willing to take Leverage elsewhere if the show got canceled by Amazon Prime Video, though it's unclear is that's feasible anymore.
Read Devlin's full comments here:
You know, the thing is, television is not what it used to be. Television had a schedule. The beginning of the year, you had to get in front of the rs in New York so that they could plan on what shows they're paying to put ads on. You had to debut your shows in the fall, when the car companies had new cars to announce for the next season. There was a schedule with the Fall season and summer re-runs that you had to meet. That's all gone.
Now, that's all gone, and the needs of the platform are very different. It's no longer just, "Is a show good? Do people like the show?" It's, "Is it driving subscription rates? Are new people coming to the platform to see another season, or are we only feeding the people who are already there?" There's all kinds of things that have to get considered that we didn't have to deal with before.
So, I'm just grateful that Amazon has been so incredibly ive of the show. I've been trying to reboot it from day 1, and when they announced what, at that time, was IMDb TV, which later became Freevee, and we became their first original show, that was unbelievable, and that they continued to us. And then even when Freevee went bye bye, they still ed the show, moved us over to Prime. You'd have to check this, but I think we're the first AVOD original show that moved to an SVOD platform. It's incredible .
We know they love the show, we know that they've been ive, but we also know that they're going to look at the numbers. They're going to say, "Well, how many people watch this season, and how many new people are coming in?" If we hit the right targets, I think we will get a fourth season. If we don't, I'll find somewhere else to take the show. [Laughs]
Leverage: Redemption Season 4 Is Not Confirmed
Amazon Prime Video Hasn't Ordered A Fourth Season Yet
It's currently unclear if the long wait between seasons will hurt its viewer base, though lengthy breaks in streaming schedules have become the new normal.
Anticipation is high for Leverage: Redemption season 3, but it hasn't been renewed for a fourth season yet. The jump to Amazon Prime Video is an encouraging sign that the streamer is invested in the spinoff, but it also puts a lot of pressure on Redemption to perform. It's currently unclear if the long wait between seasons will hurt its viewer base, though lengthy breaks in streaming schedules have become the new normal. As showrunner Dean Devlin mentioned in his recent comments, the renewal of season 4 will ultimately come down to viewership numbers.
Leverage: Redemption season 3 premiered on April 17, 2025.

Expect The Main Team To Return Again
Though original cast member Timothy Hutton is absent from Leverage: Redemption, the spinoff has shined because of the return of the characters from the classic series. This trend is expected to continue into season 4, with the team returning to dole out their own brand of justice in a corrupt world. Leading the charge is Gina Bellman as Sophie Devereaux, the team's mastermind and de facto leader. Meanwhile, Christian Kane should be back as Eliot Spencer, who now uses his successful food truck business as a mobile HQ for the team.

Why Hardison Left The Team In Leverage: Redemption
Aldis Hodge reprises his role as Alec Hardison in Leverage: Redemption but the audience favoite hacker left the team early in the season; here's why.
Parker (played by Beth Riesgraf) has returned to fill the role of master thief, and her relationship with Aldis Hodge's Alec Hardison adds a bit of romantic intrigue. Speaking of the team's original hacker, Hardison will likely return for season 4, but in a guest star capacity only. Noah Wyle's Harry Wilson also appeared as a guest star in season 3, and it's unclear if his role will continue to be small going forward. Aleyse Shannon plays Breanna Casey, the team's new hacker and foster sister to Alec.
The cast of Leverage: Redemption season 4 will likely include:

More Cases For The Leverage Team To Tackle
The basic idea behind the Leverage franchise is rather simple, with the team using their individual skills to take down corruption and abuse of the law at the highest level. However, it's the clever plots and exciting execution of those cases that make for such an exciting viewing experience. Season 4 will undoubtedly feature even more episodic cases, though there are also some interesting character developments that have been blossoming in the spinoff as well.
While also trying to bring down white-collar criminals, the team must also deal with issues in their personal lives, so that they may get their own measure of "redemption" as well. Harry eventually learns to forgive his father, while Eliot still struggles to let anyone in after his botched relationship with U.S. Marshal Maria Shipp. All this makes the characters of Leverage: Redemption more fleshed-out and relatable, which further adds to the intrigue of their weekly cases.
