There are many powerful weapons you can get in Lies of P, but the best ones provide the strongest abilities for customization. One of the main features of the game is combining different Blades or Handles to form new weapons. This allows for a lot of customization, though it is also possible to make a poor combination of parts if you aren't aware of what each piece does.

It is a good idea to carry around multiple weapon options. Each deals a different type of damage and uses different stats for scaling. There is even the option of respec-ing your whole character build around a new weapon. But, what works in one fight might not be suitable for every encounter.

Not every weapon is made through the combination of a Blade and Handle. Some weapons are special, with multiple Fable Art techniques instead of being broken up into two pieces to make up a set.

16 Fire Axe Handle

Cut Through Enemies With A Balanced Weapon

The Fire Axe in Lies of P is a very balanced weapon. The head itself does a fair amount of damage for a one-handed option. But what you should look forward to is using the handle with other blades. The weapon is initially found in a chest in the Workshop Union Culvert. Part of the tunnels will burst open due to explosives, and the axe can be found within.

The handle has C scaling with both Motivity and Technique, making it a great option for many blades. Consider combining it with other similar heads like the Military Shovel Blade, Cursed Knight’s Halberd Blade, or Puppet’s Saber Blade. The handle also grants the Endure Fable Art, which can prevent suffering damage and being staggered for a short window.

15 Circular Electric Chainsaw

Comes With Impressive Stats & Fable Arts

Even though the Circular Electric Chainsaw is considered a Blunt weapon, you should not ignore it due to its nomenclature. Not only is it a Unique Weapon, but it can also do Electric Blitz damage to both large and smaller enemies. It’s most useful for taking down minor Puppets.

The Circular Electric Chainsaw’s Fable Arts is also quite impressive, as “Condensing Slash” can be charged for bonus slash damage. The weapons’ secondary Fable Art “Endure” will temporarily allow you to withstand an enemy's attack. This is a highly useful defensive ability to use against bosses, especially if you’re running low on health.

14 Black Steel Cutter Blade And Handle

Advance Defensively Through Enemy Encounters

The Black Steel Cutter is a great weapon to keep together, especially if you are using an Advance build in Lies of P. This Greatsword can be found from a chest in the Hermit's Cave area, when you defeat a Carcass enemy near the Stargazer. In the wooden structure behind the creature, you can find both parts of the weapon, which you can keep as a single item or break apart into two pieces for customization.

The Fable Arts for the Black Steel Cutter are Storm Slash and Guard Parry. Storm Slash unleashes an attack that slashes an enemy in front of you multiple times, while Guard Parry gives you a new defensive maneuver. With Guard Parry, you can deflect an enemy's attack with the right timing, giving you the ability to counter enemy strikes and retaliate to gain the upper hand.

If you like one of the two Fable Arts from the complete Black Steel Cutter weapon, feel free to detach either its Blade or Handle to make a weapon build that is just right for you.

Good weapons for Advance builds are rare toward the beginning of the game, so this tool can be perfect for those focusing on this stat. Advance powers up your Legion Arms and elemental attacks, allowing you to use more consumable items effectively. Since this weapon doesn't do great damage on its own, diving into those parts of the game can help you become a more consistent threat to your enemies.

13 Seven Coil Spring Sword

Spend Ergo Early To Get This Weapon

Ergo is by far the most important resource in Lies of P, and it’s difficult, especially early on, not to spend all your ergo on levels. Relatively few players know that you can also trade Ergo with Alidoro in exchange for powerful weapons. Alidoro is an NPC that you meet in chapter four, first in the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library, and then later again at either the hotel or Venigni Works.

This vendor sells extremely useful weapons both for regular and boss ergo. If you manage to save the ergo obtained from the Parade Master, then you can exchange it for the Seven Coil Spring Sword.

The Seven Coil Sword is by far the best early-game greatsword that you can run across in Lies of P. Its pure physical attack damage can quickly chunk down massive enemy health bars, even at lower levels. The greatsword has two key features that make it even more valuable.

First, it has a substantial damage reduction rate whenever guarding, more so than your average weapon. Second, the Seven Coil Sword also deals additional damage whenever you manage to parry an enemy. If you plan to be a heavy weapon , then it’s best to save your ergo from the Parade Master to get this weapon.

12 Carcass Crystal Axe

The Carcass Crystal Axe can be found in Rosa Isabelle Street after beating Laxasia the Complete. Make sure to talk to Test Subject 826 at the Arche Abbey Outer Wall, who will sell it to you for 3,700 Ergo. This weapon is another blunt weapon that isn’t better than the other options mentioned below. Its Fable Art “Acidic Explosion” can inflict acid damage in a radius after a small explosion. Its second Fable Art, “Conserve Energy,” is far more interesting, as it lets you decrease stamina consumption for a short period.

11 Salamander Dagger Blade

Add Permanent Fire Damage To Your Arsenal

The Salamander Dagger is one of the most reliable means of adding fire damage to your arsenal. The full weapon is found in the Workshop Union Entrance. There will be a large hole that at first looks dangerous. Bravely, leap down and deal with the Blank Puppets inside. You can then pick up the dagger as a reward.

The full weapon is good on its own but becomes even better when paired with other elemental or Advance-scaling handles. Consider the Acidic Crystal Spear Handle for more reach, the Acidic Great Curved Great Sword Handle for pure power, or the Circular Electric Chainsaw Handle for better guarding.

The Salamander Dagger Blade itself has the Ignite Fable Art. This will deal additional fire-based damage, but not physical output.

10 Noblesse Oblige

Endure Damage And Strike Back Hard

One of the heaviest weapons in the game is Noblesse Oblige, a giant club you can get by trading in the Fallen One's rare Ergo to Alidoro. This special weapon only has one part, but it comes with two Fable Arts called Ergo Release and Endure. These abilities transform what would normally be a tricky weapon designed for Motivity builds to a solid choice for nearly any playthrough.

Noblesse Oblige has some of the highest single-hit damage possible in the game with Ergo Release, which consumes an amount of Ergo to bolster your damage. The more Ergo you spend, the higher the damage of the weapon when you hit something. With Endure, you can also withstand enemy attacks, reducing damage enough for you to perform Ergo Release and decimate any who stand in your way.

Obviously, the problem with this weapon comes from its greedy Ergo consumption. You need to farm Ergo a lot to use this weapon, so it is not for everyone. However, those that do build around this special tool can tear through boss health bars quickly to make challenging fights seem trivial.

9 Golden Lie

While this weapon isn’t the fastest, its high Motivity stat is still quite impressive. Having said that, it isn’t the perfect weapon for an OP one-shot Motivity build.

Coil Mjolnir's primary Fable Art, "Thunderstrike," will let you deal with lightning damage in an area and is capable of affecting multiple enemies. In addition to the AoE attack, the weapon will also be temporarily charged with Electric Blitz. Its secondary Fable Art, "Absolute Defense," will let you perfectly block an enemy's attack as well.

7 Etiquette

Fetch An Early Dagger

Etiquette is another weapon that you can get by providing specific Ergo to the merchant Alidoro. To acquire this useful weapon in Lies of P, you need to save and sell the Broken Hero’s Ergo to Alidoro after you meet the merchant in Chapter Four. You can acquire the Broken Hero’s Ergo by defeating the Scrapped Watchman.

This boss is located in the Courtyard of Kray City Hall and acts as one of the first actual bosses in Lies of P, making Etiquette a very attainable early-game weapon and an immediate upgrade from your starting equipment. If you favor a lighter, Technique-focused build, then Etiquette is perfectly suited for you.

The Etiquette, fashioned like an umbrella, is a fast weapon that manages to maintain relatively high physical attack damage. The Fable Art is a useful piercing lung attack that can help players maintain a range advantage, despite being a dagger-type weapon. In of scaling, it lacks severely in Motivity, but is incredibly high in Technique for specific builds centered around that stat.
