officially announced that PUMP was closing on July 5, 2023, amid rumors that were swirling about Lisa and her husband Ken Todd's finances.
However, it was reported by TMZ that PUMP will be reopening soon with a new location, which happens to be right next to TomTom. The name of the restaurant has already been engraved on the building, along with a sign advertising a brunch menu. "Famous PUMP Brunch Saturday & Sunday 11:30am-4:30pm. Specialty Cocktail JUGS $45.00. PUMPTINI PUMP & GLORY," the sign reads. The new PUMP is only three doors down from its old location, which will be easy for customers to find.
Will New PUMP Location Help TomTom?
With PUMP now located right next to TomTom, it will be interesting to see if this new move will help or hurt its sister restaurant. In April 2023, it was revealed that both of the Toms' restaurants TomTom and Schwartz & Sandy's were vandalized due to backlash from Scandoval. According to People, Tom Schwartz said the vandalism hasn't affected his businesses when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "I got to say, every time I go in, it's kind of thriving. And people are coming in — you guys, if you want to talk about this, all day, I'm happy to talk about this. But it's been great," he said.
In the past few years, Lisa's businesses have gone through many changes. Before PUMP temporarily closed, one of Lisa's first restaurants, Villa Blanca, shut its doors in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lisa has taken her restaurant empire to Las Vegas to open her two newest establishments, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in 2019, and Vanderpump à Paris in 2022. After the news of Scandoval broke, her businesses received a bad reputation because of their connection to Vanderpump Rules. But it seems like Lisa has decided to move forward by continuing to open restaurants with cutting-edge dining experiences.
It's unclear if PUMP moving directly next to TomTom will allow the restaurant to thrive again. However, customers won't have to go too far to dine at all the famous spots featured on Vanderpump Rules. While PUMP's new location could make the Toms look bad since it overshadows their own restaurant, it will be easier for Lisa to check in on her employees and co-owners from time-to-time to make sure everything is running smoothly.
