Netflix's romantic drama film Lonely Planet has a notable age gap between its two lead actors. Written and directed by Susannah Grant (Lonely Planet trailer, the film will take place at a retreat in Morocco where Dern's character encounters a younger man (Hemsworth). The Lonely Planet trailer also reveals that Dern's Katherine is a famous writer who arrives at the retreat looking for privacy in order to finish her current book. It's evident that as Lonely Planet plays out, Owen and Katherine will develop strong feelings for each other that will likely have major consequences.
