The Marvel Cinematic Universe has repeatedly set up and teased Man-Thing ahead of the character's debut in Werewolf by Night focuses on Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal) and a group of monster hunters, which includes Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly). Created by Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, and Gerry Conway, Man-Thing is a giant swamp monster often found living in Florida. Originally known as Theodore Sallis, the biochemistry professor's life changed after he injected himself with his prototype SO-2 serum meant to make people immune from toxic biochemicals. After Theodore crashed into a mystical swamp, the serum helped transform him into Man-Thing. His new form granted him powers like malleability and super strength. Man-Thing is best known for his role as the guardian of the Nexus of All Realities, which gives him additional mystical and multiverse powers.
