Every year, hundreds of manga are blessed with an anime adaptation, and a poll just showed which ones fans would like to see the most. Some exciting series were picked as one of the most anticipated to receive an anime adaptation, and this poll just showed that there is indeed demand and hype for them.

Each year, Anime Japan hosts a poll that asks manga fans which series they would like to see receive an anime, and while this doesn't necessarily lead to guarantees, some of the manga picked do end up receiving an anime later on. This is the sixth year they've done it, and the manga fans want to see in anime format the most is Nue's Exorcist, written and illustrated by Kōta Kawae.

Manga Fans Demand Anime For Nue's Exorcist And More!

The Weekly Shōnen Jump manga began in 2023, and it is exciting to see that it does indeed have an audience of fans who would love to see it brought to life in anime format. There were also some other great picks, but Nue's Exorcist at the top spot is very well-deserved.

Coming in second place is USOTSUKI! GOKUO-KUN by Makoto Yoshimoto in Shogakukan's Weekly Corocoro Comics. Oreko Tachibana's Firefly Wedding came in at third, and it was recently announced for English publication by Viz Media. PHANTOM BUSTERS by Neoshoqo followed, although it was canceled, and then Kindergarten WARS by You Chiba, Ugly Duckling of the Entertainment District by Naru Kariya, GOKURAKUGAI by Yuto Sano, Akuyaku Reijō no Naka no Hito by Makiburo and Mai Murasaki, Junket Bank by Ikko Tanaka, and coming at tenth spot is

Shōnen Jump's Kagurabachi and Kindergarten Wars are rumored to be receiving anime adaptations soon as well, and they ranked highly in Anime Japan's polls. Some of the manga on this list will surely be announced for anime as well, with GOKURAKUGAI and Nue's Exorcist being the most likely ones due to their popularity both in Japan and overseas.

This poll had approximately 156,909 votes, and a sample size this large surely means that the publishers will take notice of the fans' votes and opinions. Historically, manga that have been in the top 10 usually get an anime later on, and there is no doubt that among this year's winners, a few will be adapted into an anime and hopefully take over.
