There are many previews of Mario Kart World now that is has been officially announced, and we have started to see glimpses of the new karts. Currently, there aren't many that have been officially confirmed with names, but more have been seen in the background and trailers for the game. However, there are still a few we have seen that have names and have been seen as part of the Nintendo livestreams that have been taking place over the past two days.
There are many new reveals, including the fact that there is a brand new character for Mario Kart World that is taking over the internet. We have a much longer list of the confirmed characters and courses than we do for karts right now, but hopefully, we will see many more and get more details when we see the next Nintendo Direct on April 17, 2025. Until then, however, here are all of the confirmed karts that we know about right now.
8 Cute Scoot
Bike
The Cute Scoot, and the rest of the karts on this list, was revealed in the Nintendo Treehouse live stream on April 3.
The Cute Scoot looks like a typical Mario Kart bike, although it appears to have a low speed but with strong acceleration. For those who don't know, the stats on the karts do matter, particularly if you are into competitive modes in the game.

Nintendo Accidentally Leaks Iconic Mario Kart Track For Mario Kart World
Nintendo accidentally leaked that a staple of the Mario Kart series will indeed be in Mario Kart World, but it swiftly took down the information.
Bikes tend to have lower handling stats, so the Cute Scoot having a bigger one might pay off. However, we haven't seen much gameplay of this one yet, so we will have to wait to find out just how well this one plays. A good player can make most of the different karts work, but it's also a Mario Kart game, meaning anything can happen.
7 Standard Bike
Bike
Already, you can see that the stats on this one are largely the same as the Cute Scoot. The differences are mainly in appearance, as this bike is a little slimmer, and Mario actually gets to sit down on this bike. Seems like it would be more comfortable to me, but he gets himself in all sorts of trouble that I do not, so they might be equally comfortable to him.
Either way, I got a lot of use out of the Standard Bike in past Mario Kart games, so I expect I will at least give it a go in Mario Kart World as well. We didn't see much gameplay of this one either, but it has made a lot of appearances in past games. It is likely that it will be very similar to its past iterations. We also know that each vehicle will be able to switch between an airplane and water glider form, so we will get to see the bike in a new way.
6 Rally Kart
Car
We have seen a bit more of this one in the trailers and in the background of some of the livestreams. However, we have not seen much direct action just yet, so we just have these stats and a few background shots for now. The stats overall seem fairly balanced between the four characteristics, with Speed having the highest stat.
It might turn out to be a great option for those who want a solid, balanced kart. Plus, I like the general look of this one, with the bright turquoise paint and three headlights. The very small windshield also has a great look to it, and I think I'll enjoy testing this one out at least once to see how well it works. I do tend to prefer bikes, but this one might be worth trying out.
5 Baby Blooper
Car
To me, this one looks like the most exciting and viable option on the list so far. I always liked playing as the "baby" characters and karts in past games, particularly in Mario Kart Double Dash, and, even though this doesn't look mini-sized, it does look sleek, and I like the look of the stats. It's also very shiny, and looks a bit like a bullet, and it's the fastest kart according to the stats we've seen on this list so far.
The Acceleration is also quite high, making me think this kart has a big potential. I'm sure there will be many karts with stats higher, but of the ones we've seen, it's quite nice. I also think it treads a line between car and bike with the slimness of the vehicle, so it might be easier to control as well as speedy. I'll be excited to see what else we can race in, but I think this could be a good choice.
4 Standard Kart
Car
This is the kart we have seen the most so far and the one that has been used in a lot of the gameplay previews. It has fairly balanced and solid stats, and most people will be very familiar with it. It has been making appearances for a long time, and it will never be the best kart in Mario Kart, but it will be the one people choose for familiarity and a decent choice when you don't want to look too flashy.

Does Mario Kart World's open-world feature seem appealing?
The open-world aspect of the new Mario Kart game is appealing to me, as it would be for most games. Given that this isn't just a new Mario Kart game but the premiere title for an entire console release, I'm glad they're trying something fresh and new. At first glance, I don't really understand how it's going to work and what role it will fulfill in the gameplay, but I'm undoubtedly more encouraged to try the game because of it.
It's no surprise that we've seen the most of this one, as it is the flagship kart and the one used in almost all of the advertising. However, it does have something new, as you can see in the images. It will come with the new forms in the air and water, which will allow it to traverse any kind of environment. It will be very useful when you are in the new free roam mode, which will be a great use of this kart.
3 Plushbuggy
Car
The Plushbuggy we have seen the next most of in the previews and livestreams so far, particularly when paired with Peach. It's a very cute combination, with the pink and white color scheme. It also seemed to be performing fairly well when they would use it in those livestreams. I think it will be a popular choice, although some of the karts we've only got glimpses of also look pretty neat.
I don't think it will end up being the fastest kart, based purely on the stats, but I think it will be used quite a lot. It's stylish, and it looks quite posh, which will pair well with the many royal appearances of the racers in Mario Kart World. Or pair it with the new cow racer for a very cute and hilarious racing experience.
2 Zoom Buggy
Car
The Zoom Buggy has not been seen much, just a small preview. We do have the stats, which is nice to see. At the moment, it looks a lot like the other karts on this list with not much variation in stats. Overall, the stats on the karts we know about look very similar, so the competition might come down to the usual amount of skill and massive amounts of luck. Although, they might be hiding the best stats from us until release.
The Zoom Buggy doesn't look quite as sleek as I would want it to, but it does look like a traditional go-kart, which is nice. I spent a large amount of my childhood on go-karts, and this kart has brought up that feeling of nostalgia. I'm not sure if I'll use it in the game just yet, but I do want to try out each of the karts at least once.
1 Chargin' Truck
Car
The last kart we have seen so far in Mario Kart World, and we have not seen much of it just yet. However, the stats on this one have the most difference from what we have seen. The Speed is one of the highest of those we have seen so far, but it is also extremely heavy and has low Acceleration and Handling. It will be interesting to see how well it places, but I think it could be quite fun.

Mario Kart World Costs $80 And The Internet Is Unhappy
After its new gameplay and release date reveal, Mario Kart World is revealed to cost $80, and the internet is not happy about this price tag.
It is nice to see that there is some balancing in the stats, so that the high Speed is countered by the Weight. Of course, we will also have to take into the weight of the drivers, as they also have their own stats. However, if you want to feel like you are driving a monster truck, you can get into this truck and drive it all across the courses and the open world.
We have seen a lot of glimspes and hints of what the other karts might be, including one that looks like a Bullet and one that looks like Boo. There is one that has a bee-like texture to it, and others that have a mixture of familiar attributes. We will have to wait to get confirmation on what they are and how their stats compare, but things are looking quite exciting for fans in Mario Kart World.
