As you play Mario & Luigi: Brothership, you'll eventually discover that Ellow is missing, and you must hunt down the Extension Corps. You'll start this quest on Lottacoins Island in Building 1F. You have to get to the roof, but there is no direct age there, and looking around for a final set of stairs will leave you stumped. The real way to get to the roof involves finding a pipe puzzle room and using it to get to the roof.
This is one of those puzzles that highlights how much effort was made to bring the brothers back in this light RPG. The developers obviously wanted to add in every puzzle they could, and getting to the roof through a puzzle was a good idea. This puzzle is a little complicated at first, especially with the entrances to the pipe maze fooling you. There are a lot of red herrings in this puzzle, and you might think you've got the right way until you realize what pipe you really need to go through.
How To Find The Lottacoins Island Tubes Puzzle
There's Only One Way To The Roof
When you find out that Ellow is missing, you'll be far from where you need to get to in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. The first thing you should do is head north to the nearby stairs. Once you're on floor 3F, head to the center of the room and go to the left. Once you reach the next set of stairs, go up them as well. Head all the way down the hall and ignore every door on your way.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership Final Boss & Ending Explained (In Detail)
Mario & Luigi: Brothership is an RPG with several twists and turns to its story, including some pretty big reveals and a villain who just won’t stop.
Eventually, you're going to see a big red pipe on the left side. This is what you'll need to get to the puzzle and get after the Extension Corps. Come together with Luigi and pick the rolling ball so you can fit inside the pipe. From there, head into the pipe and follow it all the way to the left, then turn and go into the new big room with a maze that reminds you why Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the RPG revival the franchise has sorely needed.

The Right Way To Finish This Puzzle
You can stop being a ball once you get inside the puzzle room in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. You're going to have to set up the pipes so you can get through. While it doesn't look like it initially, you can jump over any pipes to get to each rotation. Hit the turning mechanisms to turn each pipe in your desired direction before going through it. There are two connection switches, one on the left and one on the right.
There's a mystery box on the right side of this map. Head over and jump under it before you leave this puzzle.
Jump over the pipe and go to the left-side switch first. To turn it, merge with Luigi and pick the option on the right to create a tornado spin. Keep doing it, and eventually, the pipe in front of you will turn. You need to continue to do this until the pipe is connected with the left and the top. The bottom part of the pipe should be open, as it doesn't lead where you need it to, as seen in Jumpycode's video below.
The next part of the puzzle is going to the right side and connecting the next pipe correctly. Run next to the turner and with Luigi again before using the right option to make a tornado. From there, rotate the pipe until it connects to the top and the left pipes. This may seem like there's no way for you to reach it, but it's because you'll have to go the long way through the pipes.
The game makes it seem like the middle pipe is the correct one to go through. It's next to the button, more prominent, and looking at the maze at first can make you think it starts in the middle. Don't fall for it.
Do not take the wrong pipes when trying to get through the maze. While it seems like you have to take the middle pipe, you're going to use the pipe on the very left and follow it all the way through. Once you get to the second golden pipe, you'll realize why you take this one. After that, you'll follow the pipe out the door and be on the roof, where you'll continue the hunt in Mario & Luigi: Brothership.
