After learning more about who Married at First Sight season 18 has been a wild ride. The finale recently aired, and viewers came to find out that only one couple, Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald, decided to stay married. Karla Juarez and Juan Franco both said no to staying together, although it was an obvious choice because they never had a spark.
Ikechi Ojoré and Emem Obot split mid-way through the season on bad , and Emem got engaged to her new now-husband a week later. The most shocking, and unprecedented, situation took place in MAFS season 18 when Madison and Michelle Tomblin's husband, David Trimble, came clean about having an affair. The repercussions of that illicit relationship have been widespread. Within that setup, I have changed my mind about Allen's initial judgments about Madison, who I previously thought was a cool person.
Allen Revealed His First Impression Of "Party Girl" Madison
& Madison Reacted Badly To The Notion
About halfway through the Married at First Sight season 18 experiment, Allen and Madison were talking about first impressions. I thought Allen put his foot in his mouth when he said that he got party girl vibes from Madison. He said he thought Madison was the type of person to have transactional relationships.
"The word that I'm going to use is not right. Transactional."
Allen elaborated to explain that the way she danced at their wedding gave him a "young party girl demeanor" sense. Allen itted that he misspoke after Madison took great offense. Madison thought Allen was calling her a hooker and gave a big monologue about how she's been misjudged her whole life and always has to prove herself. To me, Allen's choice of words was not ideal, but given the way Madison has since presented herself, I think Allen's notion was valid.
Madison Cheated On Allen With David Trimble
The Biggest Married At First Sight Scandal
I initially believed that Madison had a fun streak about herself, but I now think that her entire personality and behavior is problematic. Madison and David carried on a relationship behind their spouses' backs, and then lied about it at every turn. Only when a producer prompted Madison to come clean, did she and David announce their connection and intention to pursue one another.
Allen was blindsided by the revelation, as he consistently checked in with Madison about her feelings towards him. I saw Madison let Allen wear rose-colored glasses while she fully knew that she was not attracted to him and was in fact wanting someone else's husband. Karla called Madison "dirty" and "grimey," which is making complete sense to me now. I'm sure Allen would agree with those sentiments as well. While that degree may not have been his first impression, it's the impression Madison is giving off now.
I absolutely feel now that Madison is a party girl, and that she saw her marriage with Allen as transactional.
I'm certain Madison used Allen to stay on TV longer, and it's clear to me that the way she originally came across to Allen on her wedding day was correct. The first impression I got from Madison was a lot like Allen's, but I also saw how smart and responsible she was. Any feelings that direction that I had are now gone because of the cheating scandal.
Madison & David Like To Drink & Party
Madison & David's Priorities Are Mixed Up
Madison and David had drunken nights out before going public, and they have continued to do so out in the open. Madison and David seemingly always have drinks in their hands, and have the same reckless priorities.
Instead of prioritizing healing and making amends to those that they've wronged, they've decided to talk about their hangovers and sex life, which I've found utterly distasteful.

Madison Is Proving Allen Right
Madison Wasn't Ready For Marriage
I've watched Madison totally prove Allen's first impression theory correct. Party girl Madison treated her marriage as transactional, and the cheating scandal has underscored her villain persona and that she wasn't ready for marriage. Married at First Sight season 18 has outed Madison for who she truly is, and I now know Allen was right about her all along.
