Ryu match-up. Bundled in with preorders of the physical release of the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, the thirty-two page comic brings the hard-hitting action to the page.
In a post to X, Comicbook.com has shared three preview s. The exclusive comic comes from writer Christos Gage and artist Alberto Jiménez Alburquerque, and looks to be jam-packed with characters from both franchises.
In addition to Ryu delivering a Shoryuken to Captain America, readers also get to see a face-off between Wolverine and Akuma. Psylocke, Doctor Doom, Mega Man, Morrigan and Captain Commando can also be seen trading blows, hopefully giving fans of both franchises everything they could want in this exclusive comic book adventure.

A tense duel turns almost comedic when Iron Fist's opponent begins throwing moves right out of Capcom's Street Fighter playbook.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Has an Exclusive Comic Book
Iconic Franchise Characters Embark on New Adventures (& New Fights)
With many of the included games having been unavailable for decades, there was much excitement when the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection was announced. The collection was released digitally in September of this year, where it was met with sales success and general acclaim. The physical release of the game officially debuted for PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch consoles on November 22, and fans who pre-ordered the collection will also get the exclusive comic book.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics includes the games X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes and The Punisher.
Promising a story that puts the fate of both the Capcom and Marvel Universes at stake, the new comic sounds like a typical "let’s all fight each other before teaming up to take on a bigger threat" story that should give fans something to read while they let their thumbs rest from marathon-ing the seven games included in the collection. Marvel will also be celebrating the release with a series of variant covers for different comic titles coming out in December, all of them based on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 character art by Bengus.
Marvel vs. Capcom Is Back, and Hopefully There’s More to Come
Even though the comic is only available for those who pre-ordered the physical release of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics as of right now, hopefully Marvel will find a way to make the comic available to everyone else at a later date. Considering the success the collection has had thus far, Marvel and Capcom would also be smart to team together again and put out a full Marvel vs. Capcom miniseries to keep the story going on the comic book page.
