However, other details about Loki may be forthcoming, as Hiddleston shared on Instagram that pre-production on the series has begun. He made the announcement via a photo of himself with some individuals involved in the series, tagging director Kate Herron and executive producer Kevin Wright. Hiddleston captioned the photo "Team Loki. Prep has officially begun! See you in the New Year." Check out Hiddleston's post celebrating the start of pre-production on Loki below:

So far, the MCU film with the most connections to the Marvel Disney+ shows seems to be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That film, which comes out May 2021, has already been confirmed to play a role in Wandavision, as Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch will take part in both. It hasn't been revealed yet if Loki will have the same amount of impact on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Wandavision will. However, Marvel studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed that it does tie in somehow, suggesting there will be a connection between events taking place during the two.

Though fans are a long way off from actually seeing Loki on their screens, they should be happy to hear that prep is now underway. Disney+ launched last month, but fans are still waiting for the exciting MCU series that have been announced. The delay makes sense, as Marvel is coming off of a huge year that saw the end of the Infinity Saga, a massive undertaking on their part. By the time Loki debuts in Spring 2021, it will have been two years since fans last saw Hiddleston's character. This will make them even more excited to tune in for new adventures with the god of mischief.
