Cerebro Database II is the latest event for Marvel Rivals, taking place at the start of Season 2.5, featuring a new skin players can earn for free. This event is structured as a sequel to the previous Cerebro Database that took place at the start of Season 2 with Emma Frost's arrival. Now focusing on the latest character, Ultron, this analysis event offers another great reward for completing specific objectives.

Those who completed the first Cerebro Database event in Marvel Rivals will have a good idea how Cerebro Database II works. In the earlier event, players had a chance to earn a free skin for Mantis, but only when they finished analyzing four sections of data. Cerebro has unique pages revolving around certain character profiles you have to progress through to collect any rewards.

What Is The Cerebro Database II Event?

The Cerebro Database II event is an event where you analyze the profile pages of four different characters by completing different missions. Some missions revolve around using the abilities of featured Database characters, but others are far broader in scope. When you accomplish enough tasks on every page, you unlock a free skin for a character that you can use at any time.

With Ultron, Marvel Rivals Is Committing To Breaking Rules

With the incoming introduction of Ultron to Season 2.5, Marvel Rivals is committing to its rule-breaking trend with making hybrid heroes.

During the first Cerebro Database, players would use the powerful psychic device to analyze mutant characters from the island of Krakoa, such as newcomer Emma Frost in Season 2. However, due to the events of Marvel Rivals' story, Ultron has merged with Cerebro, transforming into the powerful X-Tron. Now, Ultron uses his newfound strength to assemble a new Cerebro Database to analyze potential threats to his goals.

Season 2.5 adds the character Ultron into the game alongside a new map - Arakko. Some of the objectives tied to completing the Cerebro Database II event could involve exploring either of these pieces of new content.

Ultron's Cerebro Database II seems to follow four different characters, including himself. The characters featured in the Cerebro Database II event are:

  • Iron Man
  • Black Widow
  • Magneto
  • Ultron

Since it takes time for Ultron to analyze each character in the Cerebro Database, not every page will be unlocked as the event starts. Pages for Cerebro Database II will unlock over time as the event continues, with players able to complete one page before the next one unlocks. The event will likely last around 7–12 days as a result, giving you plenty of time to earn its reward.

How To Complete The Cerebro Database II Event

Complete Event Missions Within Certain Patterns

Similar to the last event of the same name, Cerebro Database II can be completed when you finish a series of mission events. When you analyze a hero's Database page, you will find a 3x3 grid of mission events, with nine missions in total. To finish an event page, you have to complete enough missions to form any three lines, either as a row, column, or diagonal from the grid.

To view Cerebro Database II, go to the "Event" tab under the "Play" section of the game from the main menu. Alternatively, you can view individual missions from the event in the "Missions" tab on the same page.

For example, completing Missions 1, 2, and 3 will form a row from the top section of a character page, clearing one section of the Cerebro Database for that hero. You do not have to complete every event mission on a Database page to clear it. Instead, you only have to utilize the many changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 to finish the right challenges that form patterns.

Marvel Rivals: Most Banned Heroes In Season 2 (& How To Counter Them)

With Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, earlier Competitive ranks allow teams to ban characters, with the strongest ones sometimes needing a counter instead.

Some challenges are incredibly simple, such as just viewing the objectives on the Cerebro Database page. Others are slightly more complicated, including other goals like:

  • Defeat a number of enemies during a Quick Play, Competitive, or Vs. AI match.
  • Complete a number of matches.
  • Deal damage as the character from the Cerebro Database II page.
  • Read Lore about a Cerebro Database II character.
  • Take damage as a Cerebro Database II character.
  • Win 1 match on the new Arakko Season 2.5 map.
  • Use an ability of a Cerebro Database II page character enough times.

None of these goals should take longer than a few matches to complete, giving you plenty of ways to form patterns in a character's Cerebro Database II page. Hero pages in the Cerebro Database II unlock days after one another, so you have to wait for others to go live to explore them all.

Rewards From The Cerebro Database II Event

Earn One New Skin For A Recently Buffed Duelist

The main reward from the Cerebro Database II event is a new skin called Binary Arrow for Hawkeye, a Duelist character on the roster. Through the buffs and nerfs from Season 2.5, Hawkeye is a lot stronger in Marvel Rivals, making it appropriate for him to receive a fresh costume.

The Binary Arrow costume for Hawkeye shows the Avenger completely transformed by a virus created by Ultron. Clint Barton's flesh has warped partially into metal, with only a small piece of his humanity remaining to fight on the side of good. This skin also comes with a unique Emote, but not a special MVP animation like you may see in other Legendary skin Bundles from the in-game Store.

The Cerebro Database II event goes live when Season 2.5 drops on May 30, 2025. At this time, other chances to earn cosmetics will come from the Combat Chest, a unique source of rewards you get from completing matches.

Finishing missions throughout the Cerebro Database II event will also give you free currency. You have an opportunity to earn Units in Marvel Rivals by completing Cerebro Database II pages, as well as plenty of Chrono Tokens from individual challenges. Chrono Tokens can be spent on cosmetics from the Season 2 Battle , which still offers many different rewards in Season 2.5.

Despite limited rewards, the free skin from this event is of a far higher rarity, saving you far more Units and Lattice than you would have spent if it had to be bought. With the currency you earn from the Cerebro Database II event in Marvel Rivals, you'll be on your way to getting even more cosmetics, especially the new costumes arriving in the halfway point of the Season.
