In recent years, there have been a great deal of anti-trans policies making waves throughout the country, many of which specifically target and attack trans children. In Alabama, the legislature ed a law that makes it a crime for doctors to provide gender-affirming care to trans people under the age of 19. Hundreds of such bills are pending in state legislatures, and the Protect & Defend Trans Youth Fund, a fundraiser founded by Ariana Grande, aims to organizations fighting back against these policies. Even now, Disney has not taken any actual concrete actions against the bill. So it’s refreshing to see Hollywood A-listers like the Wachowskis ing the trans community in material ways.
