Misdreavus can be challenging to find and capture in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. With the objective of the game being to complete the Pokédex, it's common for trainers to miss out on a Pokémon or two while exploring. Each biome is populated with Pokémon that feel like they should belong there, Magikarp populates the game's lakes and rivers while Geodudes can be found deep within the mountains. In the case of Ghost-type Pokémon, most only enjoy coming out during nightfall.

Trainers looking to complete their Pokédex and unlock the Shiny Charm will need to collect Misdreavus. Pokémon Legend: Arceus goes beyond just requesting players to capture a Pokémon once. Rather, they'll need to interact with wild Pokémon in different ways to check off the list. This includes feeding it, defeating it in battle, or capturing it while it's occupied. When capturing a Misdreavus, it's important to craft tons of Poké Balls beforehand to prevent it from escaping.

Fortunately, finding a Misdreavus won't be too difficult since it can appear in multiple locations. Since it's a timed Ghost-type Pokémon, it will likely flee after it encounters the player. The best thing to do would be to hide in tall grass and slowly approach while using any Berry to keep it distracted. Alternatively, trainers can just start a battle and capture it that way, but it still has the chance to run away.

Misdreavus Locations in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Heracross can be caught in the Coronet Highlands in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

These are all the different places in Pokémon Legends: Arceus where Misdreavus can spawn.

When exploring Stonetooth Rows, there is a chance that an Alpha Mismagius will appear. Defeating it in battle will work towards completing its research tasks in the Pokédex. Using Dark or Ghost-type moves is best since it's weak to those types of attacks.  Although, it's better to capture it since Alpha Pokémon are considered their own tier of species.

It can be incredibly dangerous but capturing it in this way makes it much easier to get a Mismagius when compared to evolving it in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Fortunately, it's possible to find Shiny Misdreavus and even a Shiny Alpha Mismagius if trainers are lucky. Misdreavus will only evolve when exposed to a Dusk Stone. This is an evolutionary item that can be found while exploring the wilds or using Ursaluna to dig for hidden treasure. There's also a chance for it to appear when exploring Space-Time Distortions around the region. Regardless, trainers will need to complete both of their Pokédex entries to 100% complete the game.
