In a town of crime and murder, there is only one person who can help: Detective Terry Seattle. Well, he, several other law enforcement officers, a forensic specialist, and a few celebrity guests. Netflix's newest hit comedy murder-mystery is Murderville. With each episode, Terry Seattle gets a new celebrity guest as his partner and a new case to solve.

Murderville centers around murder, but this series deals its audience a lot of laughs. The humor derives from the celebrity guests having no script and improvising with each line. Terry Seattle often puts the celebrities in awkward positions, but sometimes, it is the other way around. The back-and-forth dialogue leads to many hilarious lines, but certain ones are the funniest of the series.

Terry Seattle

"I Mean, Did I Just Turn Seven Years Old? Because You Hired A Goddamn Clown!"

Will Arnett as Terry Seattle in Murderville.

The first episode of Murderville, "The Magician's Assistant," has a plethora of funny quotes. Chief Rhonda, played by Haneefah Wood from the ABC's Schooled, introduces Conan O'Brien to Terry. Terry's reaction is nothing short of hilarious.

Typically if a person meets a celebrity like Conan O'Brien, who had one of the best late-night talk shows around, they would be ecstatic. This is not the case for Detective Seattle. Instead, he throws a temper tantrum like a toddler and tells Conan to put his fingers in his ears while he talks to the chief. He asks Chief Rhonda why she "hired a goddamn clown," but he is forced to suck it up and work with him.

Conan O'Brien

"She Had Instantaneous, Probably 90% Blood Loss, And Then She Went Into That Black Void Known As Death."

Conan looks down in Murderville.

Moments after Terry and Conan assess the victim's body and the crime scene, a young girl asks them what happened to the magic trick and if the act would continue. Terry quickly delegates the task to Conan, who is forced to tell a kid that a magician's assistant died during the trick.

Telling any kid about death is a difficult task, but the direct and boundless humor of Conan, exemplified in one of the most viral late-night talk show sketches, "Driving Lesson," is put into action here. Conan does not hold back and tells the girl every gruesome detail about the victim's death. He goes step-by-step and goes off the rail of ridiculousness.

Conan O'Brien

"I Wanna Die."

In the most entertaining and funniest scene of Murderville, Conan O'Brien and Terry Seattle go to interrogate a suspect at Quirky Jack's Homestyle Eatery. There, they order two sloppy jalapeñ-joes, which is a huge mistake.

What makes this so comical is how the food arrives in a minute after ordering, but it becomes even funnier when they start eating. Terry douses Conan's sloppy joe in hot sauce. As Conan asks questions to the suspect, Terry keeps adding hot sauce and having Conan eat the sandwich. It is hysterical watching Conan struggle to eat the sandwich to the point where he wants to die during a murder investigation.

Marshawn Lynch

"What Kind Of Sick-A** Sh*t Is That?"

Marshawn Lynch looks puzzled in Murderville.

In Episode 2, "Triplet Homicide," Terry Seattle, played by actor Will Arnett from one of his best movies partly because of his comedic talents, works alongside former NFL star running back, Marshawn Lynch. After being informed of a new murder by Chief Rhonda, Terry and Marshawn head down to the forensics lab. From there, things begin to get weird.

The murder victim is Cora Worthington, a "legendary doll designer." Oddly enough, Terry is obsessed with her popular doll creation, Tommy Tuxedo. Tommy Tuxedo resembles her identical triplet sons. While Terry adores the doll, Marshawn tells the audience what is really on everyone's minds. It is just creepy and something from Child's Play.

Terry Seattle

"I Need You To Walk As Ugly As Possible."

Kumail Nanjiani looks suspicious in Murderville.

One of the best and funniest scenes comes in the third episode, "Most Likely To Commit Murder." This episode's murder investigation connects with Terry Seattle's past. At his high school reunion, Terry runs into his crush, Lisa Capobianco.

He and his celebrity partner, actor Silicon Valley, notice Lisa from down the hall at the reunion. Before engaging in conversation with Lisa, Terry tells Kumail to do an ugly walk. He just wants him to "walk as ugly as possible," and the result does not disappoint as viewers cannot help but laugh at Kumail's ugly walk.

Kumail Nanjiani

"Urahhhuuh!"

Terry Seattle tells Kumail Nanjiani to do an ugly walk in Murderville.

Continuing on the hallway scene, Terry tells Kumail to make weird noises while he walks towards Lisa. This noise is not something you would find in some of Kumail's best films, and it sounds like what one might expect if they asked someone to sound like a dinosaur.

As Kumail walks strangely towards Lisa, he adds his "Urahhhuuh!" noise. The sound is so odd and specific that it cannot be replicated. The improvisation of Kumail and his bewildering noise cause Will Arnett to break character, laugh, and stop to regain himself. This walking sound will make anyone laugh out loud.

Terry Seattle

"Okay, I Hate Kindergarten. It's Making Me Sleepy, I Feel Like I'm Going To Cry."

Terry Seattle and Annie Murphy interview a kindergarten teacher in Murderville.

Episode 4, "Murder By Soup," has Terry investigate the murder of a local food critic. He and actress Annie Murphy, who played the hilarious Alexis Rose in Schitt's Creek, visit a kindergarten teacher who is suspected of the murder. Terry may be an adult, but he acts like a kid.

Moments after entering the classroom, Terry turns and tells Annie that he hates kindergarten and why. At first, viewers think Terry is just saying that to say something, but instead, there is a good reason why he is saying it. Terry gets in trouble multiple times and is forced to sit on the quiet bench in the corner. It is a wildly funny scene built upon this quote at the beginning of it.

Annie Murphy

"My Name Is Johnny. Maplecock. I'm Commonly Known As 'The Pancake King' Of The Tristate Area."

Annie Murphy goes undercover in Murderville.

With every episode and investigation, Terry has the celebrity guest go undercover. He comes up with unimaginably ridiculous and hilarious names and backstories for their undercover identities. From Conan's Todd Caringtonbergensonfield to this one, the identities are absurd.

Annie Murphy is forced to go undercover to gather information from Vinny "The Fork" Palmieri. Annie becomes Johnny Maplecock, "the pancake king of the tristate area". Annie cannot help but smirk and giggle several times while delivering this line. It is a peculiar persona but one that is amusing for everyone to watch.

Terry Seattle

"And This Is Victor 'Boomboom' Santiago, And He Is A Bad Dude."

Terry Seattle talks to an undercover Ken Jeong in Murderville.

In the season finale, "The Cold Case," Detective Terry Seattle reopens the case of his former partner, Lori Griffin. To solve this murder, Terry needs the help of Ken Jeong, a doctor with an advanced degree turned actor and comedian.

Like every other episode, Terry has the celebrity guest go undercover. The first suspect is an Irish contract killer named Seamus. Terry escorts Jeong to the jail cell of Seamus and tells Seamus that this prisoner, Jeong, is named "Victor 'Boomboom' Santiago, and he is one bad dude." It is a very laughable line because the name is off-the-charts absurd. It gets even funnier later in the scene.

Terry Seattle

"Well, I've Got To Level With You, Seamus...My Name Is 'Fancy' Clancy O'Malley, And This Is My Best Mate Liam Neeson."

Ken Jeong goes undercover in Murderville.

Further along in the Seamus interrogation and undercover operation of Detective Seattle and Ken Jeong, there is a name change. Jeong, going as Victor 'Boomboom' Santiago, tries to pull information from Seamus, but the mission begins to go sideways. Seamus gets suspicious that the substitute security officer and cellmate are not who they say they are.

Seeing the Crazy Rich Asians star is in trouble, Terry bursts through the cell door and saves Jeong. He levels with Seamus and tells him that they are there to rescue him. Their new undercover names are 'Fancy' Clancy O'Malley and Liam Neeson. Oddly enough, Seamus buys it. It is so wildly ridiculous that anybody would ever choose to or be able to pull off a scheme like that, let alone Terry and Ken.
