Netflix's series based on Annabelle: Creation) and newcomer Victoria Pedretti are the latest additions to have just been announced for the show which is being carefully orchestrated by director Mike Flanagan.
First announced back in April, the show is seen to be part of Netflix's concerted effort to produce more original material, with a lean towards the horror genre after the massive success of series like Stranger Things. Haunting of Hill House is a 10-episode straight-to-series drama, which will take its main inspiration from the original classic ghost story written in 1959 by Shirley Jackson, rather than the critically acclaimed 1963 film The Haunting or the critically derided 1999 remake. With the luxury of the extended timeframe, the series is said to also greatly expand on the mythology and history of the Crane family and include them as major characters, rather than a backdrop to the paranormal incidents.

It's been reported by Ouija: Origin of Evil, for which she also received positive . Not bad for an actress yet to see her 12th birthday.
Wilson and Pedretti combine with an already strong cast that has been steadily building in recent months. Carla Gugino was confirmed as the female lead during July. Since then the casting has grown to also include; Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel and Henry Thomas.
Although a premiere date has not yet been confirmed for the series, the strength of the cast and Flanagan's reputation for strong and cerebral horror bodes well. The director has previously drawn praise for his work on films such as very positive review for. Gerald's Game also features significant roles for Gugino, Siegel, and Thomas - which indicates that the director is building himself a talented and loyal troupe of actors. Hopefully when the premiere details for The Haunting of Hill House are confirmed for sometime next year, we'll be able to see if it lives up to expectations.
