Netflix's Tudum event shared very few details about their reality TV premieres, instead sharing information about scripted shows and one new reality TV addition to the lineup. While Tudum, Netflix's annual event where they reveal what's coming in the calendar year for shows, has been something viewers have looked forward to each year, it's not always a hit. While it seemed like it was promising to share more about the seasons of Love Is Blind and America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, viewers found themselves disappointed in the updates provided by the streaming platform, information was minimal.

With no premiere dates for Love Is Blind season 9, which was filmed in Denver, Colorado and will be hosted once again by Nick & Vanessa Lachey, as well as information about the next installment of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, there wasn't a lot to unpack from Netflix's Tudum. One reality TV highlight did hit the airwaves with the announcement of a new series, Building The Band, which takes a Love Is Blind style approach to a singing competition. Hosted by Backstreet Boy AJ McLean and featuring Kelly Rowland as a judge, the reality competition will hit Netflix soon.

Although there wasn't any updated news on Love Is Blind season 9, the new season won't be premiering until later in 2025. Ahead of Love Is Blind season 10, which will be a major milestone for the show, the next season of the series is going to follow the same format, keep the same hosts, and venture to a brand-new city, settling in Denver. While there will be the typical Love Is Blind drama to follow, the show didn't make any major announcements at Tudum, which left some feeling underwhelmed with the event after it seemed to promise an update.

While Love Is Blind is moving along with an expected new season, America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 wasn't something that most viewers necessarily anticipated when the first season came out. Knowing they'll be coming back with their high-kicks at the ready, it seems like it'll be an exciting journey to see the new squad take form during the season, but Tudum didn't provide details despite inviting many cast to their event. Instead, Netflix shared information about Building The Band, then updated viewers on scripted content rather than focusing on reality TV, a backbone of their platform.

Our Take On Netflix's Tudum Reality TV Reveals

There Wasn't As Much Revealed As Expected

While there was a lot revealed about the debut of Building The Band at Netflix's Tudum, it was more surprising to see how little the event shared about the reality side of the streaming platform. With just one reality show truly discussed, it felt like there was a lot of information that was missing about the reality side of things, especially knowing that there will be other premieres coming down the pipeline this season. While Netflix's Tudum is typically more about the scripted shows, reality TV should be a major part of the mix at major platform events.
