Hulk, and it couldn’t be happening at a better time. Just as the status quo for Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters, and more gamma-powered heroes is set to change drastically with an intergalactic adventure, Marvel is finally letting a ing character hulk out on Earth-616, paying off a reveal that has been building up for over a year.

Marvel released details for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #34 – written by Cody Ziglar, with art by Marco Renna – as part of their June 2025 solicitations, teasing that Miles will be recruiting a new Hulk in his battle against Ares. However, the new hero is actually a familiar face for readers of the series.

Federico Vicentini’s cover shows that Dr. Keisha Kwan is finally hulking out in front of Miles in the issue. There have been not-so-subtle clues dropped about the character’s powerful nature for a while, and it looks like her gamma-powered secrets are about to finally come to light.

There’s still a lot to be revealed about Dr. Keisha Kwan and her origins as a unique version of the Hulk, but she has been featured as an active part of Miles Morales’ story recently. Dr. Keisha Kwan is a student of Doc Sasquatch, and has acted as Miles’ therapist since her first appearance in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #13 – written by Ziglar, with art by Federico Vicentini. Keisha is still conducting therapy sessions with the young Wallcrawler, in addition to helping him during the Gang War storyline, and part of the effort to control Spidey’s vampiric bloodlust before that was cured.

Although her role in Miles’ life is well-established, Keisha Kwan is still a pretty mysterious character overall, with her abilities not yet explained. She’s much taller than Miles expected, and she’s been shown as able to sustain damage from debris and lift herself out of rubble with ease. She’s working with an established hero with gamma-fueled powers in Hulk lore, and he seems to be mentoring her with her powers, though it’s unclear. Keisha’s hidden her abilities from Miles so far, but it looks like she’ll finally get to hulk out as she helps Spider-Man face off against villainous gods.

With a massive event set to take the most popular Hulk characters into space for an adventure, it’s a good thing Dr. Keisha Kwan is sticking around and stepping up to keep a Hulk presence on the planet. Imperial could kickstart a major shift in Marvel’s Hulk storytelling, seeing Bruce, Jennifer, and Amadeus Cho officially go cosmic. With the most famous gamma-powered heroes seemingly about to live off the planet for an extended period of time, Dr. Keisha Kwan’s debut comes at the perfect moment, since she and Doc Sasquatch could pick up the slack to smash any potential threats.

Although her powerful transformation has yet to be shown, Dr. Keisha Kwan’s skills as a therapist have helped Spidey share his feelings and hone his skills while regulating his emotions, so she’s already a hero in the Marvel Universe. However, it seems that Miles Morales: Spider-Man #34 is finally going to explain the many hints at her hulk-like powers and bring her into the action. Dr. Keisha Kwan is already a trusted ally for Miles Morales, but it’s finally time for this version of Spider-Man to recruit Marvel's latest Hulk.
