As if The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered could get any better, all versions come complete with all the original game's able content, giving you access to the magical Frostcrag Spire. This mountaintop tower is just one of the many player homes made available through DLC content, but you still have to formally find and unlock it first.
While in the original Oblivion, you would receive a notification about Frostcrag Spire after ing the DLC, telling you where to go, these notifications have seemingly been removed. There is nothing to instruct you on what to do next to unlock this Oblivion Remastered free player home, so if you hope to take ownership of Frostcrag Spire, you must take the first step.
How To Unlock Frostcrag Spire & Where To Find The Key
Scale The Mountain East Of Bruma
Since you will not be prompted to go to Frostcrag Spire like in Oblivion, you'll need to take the initiative and venture there yourself. To find Frostcrag Spire, you have a few different options. The intended way to reach Frostcrag Spire is to take the path near Bruma that leads you straight to the front door. If you travel to the Wildeye Stables in Bruma, you should be able to look off in the distance and see the home resting at the peak of the mountain.

How To Get The Wabbajack In Oblivion Remastered
The Wabbajack is an odd little weapon in Oblivion Remastered with some highly specific uses. Here’s how to get it by working with Sheogorath.
Take the road that heads east, and eventually you'll reach a fork, where you'll want to head north until reaching a point with a few signs pointing to different areas. Here, head between the signs along the unmarked path until you reach Frostcrag Spire. This path will also naturally take you past the fast travel point for this location, which you don't want to miss or forget, so be sure that if you do stray off the path, you still head back down from the tower to that.
Personally, to save time and avoid getting lost, my recommendation is to just make your own path. You should be able to see the tower from anywhere at this point, so as long as you're heading towards it, you're going the right way. That said, the easiest climbing path is on the northern side of the mountain, but don't forget you still need to mark the fast travel point.
Once you've reached the tower, you can go ahead and open the door with a lockpick if you want, but the key is nearby and relatively easy to reach, so I'd recommend just taking a moment to grab it. If you stand facing the door and head a little to the left until you can see over the ledge, you should be able to spot a small campfire setup with a chest.
The key to your free new Oblivion Remastered house is in that chest, but just be careful when trying to head down there to it, as it's relatively easy to fall and die and then repeat this all over again. Don't rush, and instead take your time to find a safe way down to it. Once you have the key, head inside to start the quest that should've already triggered when you first approached the tower.
How To Complete The Frostcrag Spire Quest In Oblivion Remastered
Purchase All Upgrades From Aurelinwae
Once you head inside, whether you picked the lock or used the key, you should immediately see a tome lying in front of you. Pick it up, and you should see a quest progression prompt telling you that if you read it, you may learn more about Frostcrag Spire. Open the book, and whether you genuinely read the information or not, you'll receive another prompt upon finishing it. This will let you know that to restore the tower, everything you need can be purchased from Aurelinwae at the Mystic Emporium in the Imperial City.

How To Become A Vampire In Oblivion Remastered (& How To Cure Vampirism)
You can play as a vampire in Oblivion Remastered, but it comes with so many gameplay changes and special considerations that you should know first.
After closing the book, the glowing circles on the floor will start to move and trigger a secret wall to open in front of you, unveiling the rest of the tower. In this room, you'll find portals to the other areas of Frostcrag Spire, but more importantly, you'll find altars. At the front of the room, you'll find the Altar of Enchanting, Atronach Altar, and Altar of Spellmaking. These altars are likely the main reason you sought out this place, but you'll need the upgrades and Magetallow Candles to utilize them.
The wall does take a moment after collecting the tome to begin opening, but if it seems like nothing is happening, head outside and back in, and this may help trigger it.
The next step at this point is to head to the Imperial City and find Aurelinwae, but make sure you have the fast travel point unlocked before leaving. Head to the Imperial City's Market District and follow your quest marker to the Mystic Emporium. When you begin bartering with them, you should be able to see all the Frostcrag Spire upgrades. You'll need to purchase all of them and grab a box of Magetallow Candles as well.
You can haggle about the prices, but they're all reasonable considering the house itself is free. Once you have everything, fast travel back to Frostcrag Spire and head inside. You should now be able to activate the altars to enchant items, create spells, and summon an Atronach. Take the portal in the room to the living area, and you'll find a garden with some plants to loot as well as a bed. More importantly, head through the metal door in this room to go outside.

How To Fix Mages Guild Suspension In Oblivion Remastered
You may accidentally find yourself suspended from the Mages Guild in Oblivion Remastered, something any serious magic will want to fix.
Once outside, you'll find teleporters that lead to each of the Mages Guilds in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Don't forget to check out the third area of Frostcrag Spire, the vault, and loot all the goods scattered throughout the tower. With that, you've done everything you need to do and may now freely use the features of Frostcrag Spire as you please (and enjoy the view while doing so).
