Deviations in Once Human are strange creatures, usually animated objects, that can provide assistance in combat or territories or even produce crafting materials. Along with regular versions of deviations, several versions have new "shiny" variants that come in different colors. These shiny deviations also have unique traits that change their unique functions.

While the means of obtaining these deviations have recently been updated, most can be obtained through the regular method for their base versions. Some, however, may be found quicker by completing greater difficulties or resource gathering in higher-level areas. Here are all shiny deviation variants, their unique traits, and where to find them.

Butterfly's Emissary

A Starter Deviation With Combat Tactics

Data entry for the Butterfly's Emissary in Once Human.

The Butterfly's Emissary is the first deviation players encounter and use in the game. Though it might seem simple, the Butterfly is a viable option for combat, even in late-game bosses and dungeons. Due to their ability to fly, Butterflies can reach enemies that other deviations may not be able to, and they will highlight the enemy's weakspots for all players to see.

Butterfly's Emissaries can occasionally be found in Rosetta compounds, such as the Gaia Research Ruins or Ricci Securement Point, or by clearing Securement Silo Alpha.

Butterfly's Emissary - Glistening Blue

The Glistening Blue Butterfly has an iridescent blue hue and comes with the Weakspot Master - Glistening Blue trait. With this trait, hitting a weakspot increases Secured by one additional point, with a cooldown of three seconds. The "Secured" term means the "Power," or duration, of the Butterfly. Hitting weak spots increases the amount of time the Butterfly can be out by approximately one second, once every three seconds, allowing it to be active for longer.

Butterfly's Emissary - Starry Night

The Starry Night Butterfly looks like a rendition of Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night, with swirling stars on its wings. Its Praise the Moon - Starry Night trait allows you to deal 6% more damage at night, both Weapon DMG and Status DMG. This effect is present during the day but only halved to 3% at night.

The Digby Boy

Different Colors For Your Mining Helper

The Digby Boy in Once Human.

The Digby Boy in Once Human can be found by mining various ores, with the first one usually being found when a player mines Tin Ore for the first time. There is a chance for them to drop any time a player mines ore. These little guys mine ore around your territory, with their Skill Rating determining the highest level of ore they can mine. They will also occupy mining platforms built in the territory to gather specific ores the player designates ively.

Digby Boys are most commonly found by mining silver or gold ore, so there seems to be a higher chance of finding a shiny one by focusing on these types of ore. However, players have reported finding them from simply mining Tungsten in Red Sands or Blackheart, so don't be afraid to try searching there!

The Digby Boy - Prism

The iridescent Prism Digby Boy has a crystal-like appearance. This deviation's special trait, Voluntary Overtime - Prism, has a 15% chance of not consuming Mood while activated and working. This allows Prism Digby Boys to gather resources for longer before needing to rest and recharge.

The Digby Boy - Pure Gold

The Pure Gold Digby Boys take on a shiny golden hue instead of their usual silver color in Once Human. Their Gilded Oracle - Pure Gold trait allows them to bring back additional ores. These additional ores appear to be both Aluminum and Tungsten, even if the Digby Boy's Skill Rating is not high enough to bring these back normally.

Extradimensional Cat

Multiple Coat Colors For Your Comfort Companion

Extradimensional Cat in Once Human.

Extradimensional Cats are a fan-favorite deviation that helps players recover faster when resting at their base. These kitties can be easily found in all Strongholds across the map. Usually, Cats with higher Skill and Activity levels can be found in higher leveled Strongholds, such as Blackfell or Tall Grass Inn.

If you want to farm Extradimensional Cats, try changing worlds using the nearby teleporter in every Stronghold. Each world has a different spawn, allowing you to check for a shiny variant multiple times.

Extradimensional Cat - Good Fortune

The Good Fortune color variant for the Extradimensional Cat in Once Human takes on a tuxedo-colored coat. Its special trait is Optimism - Good Fortune, which allows its max Mood to increase to +40%. This allows players to drain their Mood more frequently to replenish Deviant Power, meaning the Cat can be more active before needing to rest.

Extradimensional Cat - Heavy Ginger

The Heavy Ginger Extradimensional Cat has a classic striped, orange appearance with golden eyes. Its special trait, Water Dormancy - Heavy Ginger, allows it to regain Mood +35% faster when resting by water in Once Human.

Extradimensional Cat - Moonlight Jewels

The Moonlight Jewels Extradimensional Cat has a coat color of a Siamese cat, including the classic, bright blue eyes. The Daydreaming - Moonlit Jewels trait gives it a 20% chance to restore 15 Deviant Power to other deviations in the territory.

At this time, it appears that the Moonlit Jewels trait is not functioning as intended. Rather than giving power back to other deviations, it seems to drain other deviations' Moods instead. Hopefully, this will be corrected in later updates.

Festering Gel

A Deviation With Healing Properties

Data entry for the Festering Gel in Once Human.

These little deviations are highly efficient at healing and protecting players in difficult situations. Festering Gels are found in the Monolith of Greed after defeating the Ravenous Hunter boss. Though some suggest the drop rates of shinies are higher in Hard or Pro levels for this Monolith, it appears that all color variants can be obtained through the Normal difficulty alone.

Festering Gel - Marine Star

The Marine Star Festering Gel is bright blue with yellow star-like flecks, similar to the Starry Night Butterfly's Emissary color. Its special trait, Starry Sky - Marine Star, gives player either 5% Weapon DMG bonus or a 5% Status DMG bonus upon reloading. This lasts until the next reload and can be especially useful to grant an extra boost to damage while using the Gel to heal during a difficult fight.

Festering Gel - Spring Rose

The adorable Spring Rose Festering Gel is a light cherry blossom pink with floral specks. The Praise the Sun - Spring Rose trait gives 20% more healing during the day. This effect is halved during nighttime but still provides a 10% increase, which significantly boosts difficult bosses and dungeons.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny

A Rabbit With A Skill For Gathering Seeds, Wild Crops, & Flowers

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny in Once Human.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunnies are territory deviations that venture out to gather plants, seeds, and flowers for you. They can be found by chopping down trees in Nalcott, but most easily can be found from the two largest trees in the game: the Bald Cypress and the Dracaena trees. Dracaena trees can be found scattered around the Red Sands and Blackheart regions, reaching high into the sky and easily visible from far away. The Bald Cypress trees can be found in the Broken Delta region and are much taller than any surrounding trees.

At this time, it appears that Bunnies drop best when using a pickaxe to chop down the trees, not a chainsaw. It is unknown if the number of hits matters, but I had the most luck using a regular Crude Pickaxe, as there were more hits per tree before it was felled.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny - Alice

The Alice Bunny has designs similar to a deck of cards, sporting eyes in the shape of a spade and a heart. This deviation's trait is Woodland Spirit - Alice, which has a 10% chance to bring back Acid when exploring. However, it seems that these Bunnies instead bring back deviated flowers, not Acid. I have used the Alice variant for several weeks and have only received seeds, crops, and deviated flowers, not acid.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny - Dark Rebel

The Dark Rebel Bunny is a patchwork toy made of black and white fabric with red stitching. Its Toxicologist—Dark Rebel trait gives it a chance to return with Acid when exploring.

Growshroom

Mushroom Friends To Help You Farm

Growshroom in Once Human.

Proficient at farming, Growshrooms help you plant, tend to, and grow crops around your territory. You can assign seeds for them to automatically plant, and they will increase the vitality of your plants and harvest them once fully grown. You can find Growshrooms by harvesting mushrooms anywhere in the game, both homegrown and found in the wild.

Growshroom - Extra Large

The Extra Large Growshroom has a classic red cap with white spots, similar to the mushrooms found in-game. The Optimism - Extra Large special trait grants them a +40% boost to their max Mood. Increased Mood allows players to recharge the Growshroom's Deviant Power more frequently to prolong its duration working in the territory.

Growshroom - Green Touch

The Green Touch Growshroom has a deep blue cap with a light blue body. The special trait of this deviation, Toxicologist-Green Touch, appears incorrect, with its description reading, "When exploring, it has a chance to bring back Acid." However, Growshrooms do not explore and only gather planted crops. It is currently unknown what exactly this variant is meant to do. Their gathering rates are similar to other Growshrooms, so the trait likely relates to its Deviant Power or Mood.

Nutcrackers

Defensive Deviations Of Many Colors

Nutcracker deviations protect your territory from Deviants during purification and hunting down animals that may come too close. They patrol the territory and keep a watchful eye for any possible enemies. Due to in-game events, Nutcrackers now have nine different variants. Besides events, Nutcrackers can be obtained by completing the Forsaken Monolith boss.

When working, it gains Energy and Mood consumption interval +20%.

Deep Purple

Feisty Vitality - Deep Purple

Displaced Fairy Tale

Silver Gentleman

Sweet Talk - Silver Gentleman

Tin Soldier

Stable Energy - Tin Soldier

Max Energy +35

These deviations come in many varieties and with different rarity levels. Some, such as the Displaced Fairy Tale, are considered legendary, while others, like the Deep Purple, are simply uncommon. These variations are obtained via a new in-game mechanic, the Nurturing event, where you complete tasks to roll for a chance to get a new type of Nutcracker.
