Cute and cozy cooperative MMO Palia now available on consoles, plenty of newcomers may be wondering where this spooky new location can be found.

The world of Palia is split into different zones, previously featuring Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay as the two primary locations. The Elderwood is a much larger area, with new stables to unlock and new resources to gather for crafting. Locating the Elderwood is nice and simple, so long as you know where to look, letting you get started in the new expansion as quickly as possible.

Where Is The Entrance To The Elderwood In Palia

The New Zone Is Easy To Access

The entrance to the Elderwood can be found in Bahari Bay to the north of the map in grid B2. You can travel here from your home plot by heading out of the northern exit with the mine cart, which will bring you to The Outskirts stable fast travel point. From here, it is a very short journey north, following the edge of the map to the entrance of the Elderwood.

Players just starting out in Palia will benefit from knowing a few key tips and tricks before fully diving into this cozy open-world MMO adventure.

An alternative route is from Bahari Bay's Central Stables. From there, you will need to run northwest, as though you are going to Tamala's house. When you arrive, you'll see a huge door which is now partially open, along with some strange purple plants that aren't usually present in Bahari Bay. Walking towards the door is just like any other zone transition in Palia, and you will arrive in the Honeymiel Slope area of the Elderwood.

Can New Players Go To The Elderwood?

The Enchanted Forest Is Open For All

The Elderwood is available for all players, regardless of how long they have been playing or where they are up to with their quests. However, resources in the new zone will require fine equipment or higher to harvest, which will need level six in the associated skills. There are plenty of small exploration quests to keep newer Palia players busy in the Elderwood if you really can't wait to dive in. These can often be started by interacting with villagers, exploring, or interacting with objects.

You don't need to have completed the Night Sky Temple Bundles to begin the Elderwood's quests.

The main questline for the Elderwood is a continuation of the existing main quests for Palia. Because of this, there are eight quests that should be completed before Subira will invite you to speak with her, including all the Vault quests and having Subira in the village. However, if all the main story quests up until that point have been finished, then a fantastic new cinematic will play as a mysterious stranger unleashes massive amounts of Flow into the Elderwood.

The main story quests that should be completed are:

  • ‘Vault of the Waves’
  • ‘Vault of the Flames’
  • ‘Vault of the Gales’
  • ‘Vault of the Roots’
  • ‘Troubled Waters’
  • ‘Into the Fire’
  • ‘Up in the Air’
  • ‘Rooted In Place’

The Elderwood is a huge area, with a much bigger map than either Kilima Valley or Bahari Bay. There are also several new mechanics being introduced, such as relics, shrines, and a new decor set that can be unlocked purely by exploration. There have also been some much-needed tweaks to other mechanics in Palia, with changes to mining nodes, fishing, and clearer instructions for new players when first starting the game.
