Another original not part of the unannounced P4 remake project, despite reportedly "begging" to be a part of it. The post has since been removed, but now, with another original voice actor also confirming she isn't a part of the supposed remake, the evidence is continuing to grow for a potential P4 remake announcement soon.
According to a Bluesky post from Erin Fitzgerald, she will not be reprising her role as Chie in the alleged Persona 4 remake (via VGC). Her post went on to say she is grateful to have played Chie in several games, writing: "I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her." A remake of P4 has not been confirmed by Atlus or other official sources yet.
For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake. RIP 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her. [image or embed] — Erin Fitzgerald still on strike (@erinfitzgerald.bsky.social) May 28, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Erin Fitzgerald Won't Be Returning For A Persona 4 Remake
Both Chie And Yosuke Will Get New Voice Actors, Allegedly
With both Yosuke's and Chie's original voice actors saying they are out of the picture for a remake, it seems like the alleged P4 remake will be taking an approach similar to Persona 3 Reload, the remake of the third game, which released in February 2024. There were several changes made to P3 Reload from the original game, and a big one was the recasting of most of the voice actors. The only original English voice actor who returned for Reload was Tara Platt, who played Elizabeth.

Rumored Persona 4 Remake Should Borrow One Big Feature From Metaphor: ReFantazio
The rumors and evidence for a remake of Persona 4 keep coming, and I'm convinced that the alleged game should borrow one big feature from Metaphor.
Reload also introduced several new voice lines, especially in the Social Link stories, many of which didn't have voice acting originally. Reload was the first Atlus game to be fully voiced. Later in 2024, Metaphor: Refantazio was released as a new IP that was similar in style to the Persona series, and it lacked voice acting in quite a few places, with just text instead. If the alleged P4 remake exists, it seems likely that most, if not all, the dialogue will be newly recorded with new actors.
Our Take: New Actors Might Give Even More Weight To The Existence Of P4 Remake
New Actors Will Probably Bring New Dialogue
The evidence is piling up for the rumored P4 remake. Earlier this year, a website domain was ed for a P4 remake, and that website domain was recently updated. The same thing happened in 2023, with P3 Reload getting an updated website domain, and then it was revealed in June at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game game. With the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase taking place on June 8, it seems like the obvious candidate for the P4 remake to be revealed, if it does indeed exist.
Fans will likely be divided on the recasting of Yosuke and now Chie, but if there is a lot of new dialogue, strong performances, and a comparable variety of new content in the supposed P4 remake to P3 Reload's additions, then fans may have a lot to look forward to. It now seems like it's not a matter of if the game exists, but when the alleged Persona 4 remake will be revealed, and if Atlus follows the same pattern as P3 Reload, the confirmation of the game's existence shouldn't be too far away.
