Soul released to Disney+ on Christmas Day and instantly became a success, thanks in no small part to the critical praise it received for its smart writing and stunning visuals. His mother figure initially opposes the idea, not wanting him to become like his father, but later grows to respect it, giving him an article of clothing just like the one his father used to wear.

Angela Bassett: Avengers: Endgame (2019) - 8.4

Angela Bassett, who plays jazz legend Dorothea Williams in Soul, previously won an Academy Award for her portrayal of singer-songwriter Tina Turner in the biopic What's Love Got to Do with It.
