Max Monday continues in Pokémon GO for April 2025, allowing players to catch some rare Dynamax Pokémon. Max Battles offers a different way to catch Pokémon in the new format introduced in 2024, focusing on certain Pokémon. The first event is set to take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, and will run until Monday, April 28, 2025.
The first event will take place alongside the Stunning Styles event at the start of April 2025. For April, three Pokémon return to Max Battles as part of Max Mondays, but it also showcases a new Dynamax Pokémon not seen in Pokémon GO before April. Taking place every Monday of the month between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm local time, you can take on a specific Dynamax Pokémon in battle before catching it.
Max Monday's Schedule For April 2025
Four Pokémon Are On Offer
Following on from March's Max Monday Schedule, April has a familiar theme. Outside of the featured periods, all four Pokémon will also be available to catch during other weeks from Power Spots in Pokémon GO, but Max Mondays give you the best chance to catch them.

Wooloo was one of the first two Pokémon available to catch in Dynamax Form in Pokémon GO. This was through special research tasks, but you can grab more of them if you want. Likewise, Sobble and Falinks were introduced early into the Dynamax cycle. Sobble is a 1-Star Max Battle, so it can easily be defeated on your own, but Dynaxmax Falinks takes more preparation. You will need to either use perfect counters or team up with other players.
You can take on any Max Battles on Max Mondays either as a solo player or with up to three other players, but they must be near your real-life location.
The new introduction for April is Dynamax imian. The Fighting-type difficulty has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be either 1- or 3-Star difficulty. This means it can be defeated easily using Fairy-, Flying-, or Psychic-type Pokémon. While it is not one of the strongest Fighting-type Pokémon on offer in Pokémon GO, as a new Dynamax Pokémon, you should go out of your way to try and catch it.
How Do Max Mondays Work?
An Hour Of Extra Battles Each Week
In the normal schedule, several Pokémon are featured at any time to appear at Power Spots. These are all Dynamax Pokémon, which, if you defeat, you get a chance to catch, but during Max Mondays, one specific Pokémon is featured and is the only one available in Power Spots. This was the case with the recently featured Dynamax Scorbunny in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO: Best Teams For Master League & Scroll Cup: Great League Edition
You can consistently win more matches in The Master League Cup and The Scroll Cup: Great League Edition in Pokémon GO by selecting the best teams.
During Max Mondays, once you have found the featured Pokémon at a Power Spot, you need to have a set number of Max Particles to challenge it. You can select up to three Pokémon to face off against them, but they are harder than traditional Raid Battles.
In Max Battles, as part of Max Monday's, you can only select other Dynamax Pokémon. These can be ones caught in previous Max Battles, ones that are evolved, or those caught after completing special research.
The Battles differ even more, as you can only use set moves based on your Pokémon type. Each attack builds your Max Meter, which unlocks further Max Moves vital to beating the harder tiers of Max Battles. Once you have defeated the Pokémon, you will get to catch it.
Once you have caught the Dynamax Pokémon, you can Dynamax them whenever you want to use them in future Max Battles. Max Mondays provides opportunities to catch lots of one specific Pokémon quickly, helping to evolve them and power them up further. Max Mondays returns to offer four more Dynamax Pokémon of varying difficulties for trainers to challenge in April 2025 in Pokémon GO.
