Which Pokémon will get Hisuian Forms in the  Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a question on the minds of fans everywhere, but a hint for one might be right under their noses. Arezu is a warden, someone who is tasked with the protection and care of a Noble Pokémon, but what Pokémon she cares for has so far not been revealed. However, the Pokémon Legends: Arceus website may contain a hint as to what it is.

Legends: Arceus' Hisuian variant Pokémon are being revealed slowly, but hints, leaks, and theories are in abundance. Numerous rumored leaks have led to rampant speculation, but some of the most tantalizing information has come from the Legends: Arceus website itself - a refreshingly official source. Since the description specifically states that Arezu cares for a lady Pokémon, it's entirely possible that that Pokémon is a gender-exclusive form, which narrows down the list of possible candidates greatly.

Will Legends: Arceus' Next Hisuian Pokémon Be A Variant Or A New Evolution?

Pokemon Froslass

The list of female-exclusive Pokémon so far includes, but is not limited to, Nidoqueen, Froslass, Vespiquen, Salazzle, Blissey, Kangaskhan, and Mandibuzz. Any one of these, and more, could be the lady Pokémon that Arezu is tasked with protecting and caring for, but some are more likely than others. Latias and Cresselia, for example, are Legendary Pokémon, and are therefore highly unlikely to be such a big part of the main game. Galar Pokémon from Gen 8 have not yet been shown, so Alcremie and Hatterene are also less likely than the rest to be chosen. Legends: Arceus' Hisuian variants and Galarian Pokémon from Sword and Shield have not been shown together, so it's possible that only Pokémon from Gen 7 and previous generations will be in the game.

Whatever Arezu's Noble Pokémon is, it is most likely a final evolution, given the facts that all of the others revealed so far are, and because the Noble Pokémon appear to be acting as bosses or gym leaders given the current information. All of the others also only have one evolution, although it's unknown whether or not this will stay true as more details about Legends: Arceus are revealed. Froslass, Blissey, and Vespiquen stand out as candidates due to the fact that they were introduced in Gen 4's Sinnoh region, which is what Hisui is known as in the main Pokémon games' modern timeline. It's impossible to say definitively which female-exclusive Pokémon, if any, will get a Hisuian form, so fans will just have to wait for new information to be revealed.

Of course, Arezu's lady Pokémon could very well be a new evolution entirely. If that's the case, then the list of candidates gets a lot longer, but there is one that stands out. Hisuian Growlithe has been confirmed, which means that Hisuian Arcanine is likely coming, although it has not been shown. Hisuian Growlithe bears a striking resemblance, in both appearance and description, to the "komainu", a mythical Japanese lion-dog that has pairs of statues, each different from the other, outside of Shinto temples in order to protect them. Hisuian Growlithe are said to guard territory in pairs, which certainly coincides with the typical description of a komainu. Pokémon Legends: Arceus' origins for Zorua and other Hisuian forms seem to be more mystical than past generations, so this would be fitting. It's possible that Hisuian Arcanine has two forms, one of which is female-exclusive and the Noble Pokémon that Arezu is charged with protecting.

Will Arezu Care For a Hisuian Weavile In Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

Pokemon Weavile

There is also the matter of Hisuian Weavile. One of the Ride Pokémon in Legends: Arceus has still yet to be revealed, but an image of its silhouette has been leaked climbing up a mountain and seemingly carrying a basket on its back. Many fans have theorized that this is a new Hisuian form of Weavile, and if this is the case, then that form could very well be Arezu's Noble Pokémon. Whether the silhouette is or is not Hisuian Weavile remains to be seen, but if it is, it's a very good candidate for Arezu's mysterious lady Pokémon. Legends: Arceus' Noble Pokémon are different from most, so it could go either way.

Perhaps the biggest argument for Hisuian Weavile being Arezu's mystery lady Pokémon is the fact that Sneasel, Weavile's pre-evolved form, has a difference between males and females. The females have a shorter head feather than the males, and though the mysterious climbing Ride Pokémon has been shown to have a long crest of some kind on the top of its head, it's possible that that means that Hisuian Weavile will go in the opposite direction and give females a long feather or lock of hair. The fact that there's a difference between male and female Sneasel sets up Weavile for a gender-exclusive evolution well. Rumors of Legends: Arceus' Hisuian starter variants mean that just about any Pokémon can get a new evolution.

Arezu's description, aside from the part about her Noble Pokémon being a lady, also says that she feels a great deal of responsibility as a warden, and therefore tries to solve her problems by herself. This contrasts with Pokédex descriptions of Weavile, which paint them as pack hunters. If Hisuian Weavile is her Noble Pokémon, it could mean that it is typically solitary, in contrast with the standard form. Inversely, it could also play into Arezu's character and the story for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If Hisuian Weavile is a social species, like the usual ones, then players could see it teach Arezu how to rely on others.
