Pokémon Legends: Arceus players are tasked with catching every single Pokémon in Hisui, and Heracross is one of the many ‘mon that they’ll have to add to the Hisui Pokédex. Introduced in Gen IV, Heracross is known as the Single Horn Pokémon thanks to the giant horn on its head. Heracross is a Bug/Fighting-Type Pokémon, which makes it resistant to Grass, Bug, Ground, Dark, and Fighting-Type moves, but weak against Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-Types.

As one of the few non-Legendary Pokémon that don’t evolve, Heracross is the only member of its evolutionary line in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Heracross is also the only Bug/Fighting-Type Pokémon in the game, and this unique Type combination makes it strong against some of the most powerful Pokémon players will encounter in the game, including Garchomp, Darkrai, and Dialga. Heracross can be found in several places throughout Hisui, giving trainers plenty of ways to add this Pokémon to their Pokédex.

Heracross is a common Pokémon in the Coronet Highlands of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and players will be able to encounter it shortly after reaching this area. Trainers will find Heracross in the Wayward Wood located just west of the Highlands Camp where players first enter the Coronet Highlands. Heracross also has a chance of spawning in trees in this location, so players should shake any moving trees nearby if they’re having trouble catching a Heracross on the ground.

How To Find Heracross In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Heracross is the only Bug/Fighting-Type in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus players will also be able to encounter Heracross in Space-Time Distortions that appear in the Crimson Mirelands. Space-Time Distortions appear at random, so players will have to wait for one to appear in this area of the map before they’ll be able to encounter Heracross. However, the Heracross that appear in Space-Time Distortions will be at a much higher level than the trainer’s team the first time they visit the area, which means players may want to wait until they have a strong enough team to safely enter these dimensional rifts when they spawn.

Trainers who are looking for an additional challenge in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be able to find and catch the powerful Alpha Heracross that lives in the Grueling Grove area of the Obsidian Fieldlands. However, Alpha Heracross is level 45, so players will likely want to steer clear of this aggressive bug until their team is a high enough level. Still, it’s possible to catch Alpha Pokémon without battling as well, and trainers can try their luck at capturing it using items like Smoke Bombs and Sticky Globs while their team is still at a lower level.
