Finneon is a Water-type Pokémon that can be evolved into Lumineon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Unlike some of the more sought-after Pokémon, such as Alakazam or Rhyperior, players won't need to worry about learning a specific move or acquiring an evolution item to evolve Finneon. Instead, Finneon only has a level requirement. However, Finneon can be difficult to locate, as it only appears in one area in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

In order to catch Finneon, players will need to unlock Basculegion as a ride. This can be done after visiting Cobalt Coastlands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and completing the first few steps in "The Lordless Land" main story mission. After catching Dusclops and making food for Basculegion, players will be able to ride it and search for new Pokémon in the open waters. Finneon can be found in Seagrass Haven in Cobalt Coastlands.

Seagrass Haven is south of Firespit Island in the northeastern region of Cobalt Coastlands. Once players reach this subregion, they can look in the water for Finneon. Since Finneon is a Water-type Pokémon that's found swimming around, it will periodically go underwater and players won't be able to catch it until it surfaces again. Finneon is non-aggressive, so it should be fairly easy to swim up to it on Basculegion and toss a Poké Ball at it. However, aiming for Finneon as it's swimming around can be somewhat challenging and may cause trainers to waste a few Poké Balls trying to capture it.

How to Evolve Finneon in Pokémon Legends Arceus Alpha Lumineon

If players aren't having any luck catching Finneon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus right away, they can start a battle to attempt to capture it. Finneon can sometimes be caught without having to drain its health, so starting a battle can make it easier to catch it and waste fewer Poké Balls than just attempting to aim for it in open water. Finneon is usually near level 30 when it's caught, and it only needs to reach level 31 to evolve into Lumineon.

To reach level 31, players can use Finneon to gather resources as well as fight in battles against wild Pokémon. Finneon is strongest against Ground-, Rock-, and Fire-type Pokémon, and taking it to Obsidian Filedlands will give players some low-level targets to easily take out. However, the lower the level of the Pokémon that Finneon fights, the less experience it will earn. Once Finneon reaches level 31, players can choose to evolve it into Lumineon from the menu as long as it's in their party.

Alternatively, players can find Lumineon in the wild in the same area where Finneon spawns, Seagrass Haven. It's less common than its previous form and can take a while to find, so evolving Finneon is an easier way to quickly obtain Lumineon. However, completing the Pokédex entry for Lumineon will require catching a few in the wild, and players may also get lucky and find an Alpha Lumineon near Seagrass Haven in Cobalt Coastlands. Regardless of how players obtain Lumineon, Finneon has one of the easier evolutionary requirements in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
