Pokémon fans could get a new look at the popular Mega Evolution mechanic back to the game.

Since that initial announcement on Pokémon Day (February 27th), The Pokémon Company has kept a tight lid on information about Pokémon Legends Z-A, with no new trailer or announcements of any kind. However, the well-known leaker Riddler Khu claims that a trailer will still be released ahead of Pokémon Day 2025, which CentroLeaks later deciphered for those not as keen on Khu's riddles.

Lack Of Information About New Pokémon Game Is Curious

The Pokémon Company was rocked last year by ranging from scrapped Pokémon from older games to details about unreleased Pokémon movies. The hacker chose to keep information about Pokémon Legends Z-A private, although some wondered whether the massive hack led to The Pokémon Company delaying a Pokémon Legends Z-A trailer. According to the leaker Riddler Khu, Game Freak did allegedly delay a new trailer for Pokémon Legends Z-A. However, The Pokémon Company still plans to provide fans with new information ahead of Pokémon Day.

Riddler Khu has correctly leaked information about the Pokémon franchise in the past, and it's widely assumed they are connected to the Chinese localization team. However, Khu has gotten information wrong as well and many of their leaks in 2024 have not come to . So, while Khu may be correct, they could also be trying to keep their reputation intact. Like any other rumor, Khu's claims should be taken with a major grain of salt.

Our Take: Pokémon Legends Z-A Information Is Coming Soon

Fans Will Still Be Hyped Whenever The Trailer Comes Out

When Pokémon Legends Z-A was released, we knew that the game wouldn't be released until 2025. If the game wasn't due to be released until the latter half of the year, there was seemingly no point in ramping up the marketing for the game until closer to its release. Unlike Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon Legends Z-A will probably not have numerous new Pokémon species. The big reveal for the game will be how it differs from Pokémon Legends: Arceus and whether the game is set in the past, present, or near future of the Pokémon franchise.

Honestly, if the decision was made to delay a Pokémon Legends Z-A trailer, it would make more sense for The Pokémon Company to wait until Pokémon Day. Otherwise, they're stealing the wind out of their own sails unless there are plans to release another Pokémon game in 2025. An early January trailer would be nice, but fans will still be hyped about Pokémon Legends Z-A regardless of when the next trailer will be released.
