New Pokémon Legends Trailer Shows Off Z-A Royale Battles Alongside New Look At Mega Evolutions
A new Pokémon Legends: Z-A trailer showed off a new look at the Z-A Royale Battles that will be at the heart of the new Pokémon game.
According to more recent leaks, Mega Chesnaught's armored form will gain shields and a crown. Mega Delphox becomes more witch-like, with its wand becoming a broom that the Pokémon stands on. Greninja's Ash-Greninja form won't be making a comeback. Instead, the Pokémon will hang upside down from a large shuriken made of water with a darker complexion than before. As with any leak, take these with a grain of salt until they're actually revealed by Nintendo, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company.
Our Take: Starmie's Leaked Mega Evolution Is Horrifying And We Love It
The Pokémon Franchise Is At Its Best When It Gets Weird
My personal belief is that the Pokémon series is at its best when it gets very weird. Thus, Mega Starmie seems like it was made specifically to cater to my interests. I really hope that this Mega Starmie leak is true, so I can terrorize my opponents with an elongated version of a long overlooked Pokémon. The other leaks also seem to indicate some really solid design choices, giving me more hope that Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A won't be a dud.
