The latest teaser trailer for Trading has come to Pokémon Go, making good on one of the many promises from the original pitch for the hit mobile game. Hopefully, battling with other players will soon be introduced, and there's reason to believe it's not far off.
Later this year, two new Pokémon games will arrive. Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will mimic the traditional dual release of the handheld games and also remake elements of the first Generation in the Pokémon franchise. There will be new features of course, with companion Pokémon and 3D graphics among the biggest draws. And of course, the catching system will be borrowed from Pokémon Go, bringing the game's new s over to the RPG. The blend of old and new should offer something for everyone, offering both surprises and some nostalgia for those who played the original games.

While the first trailer for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! featured Brock, the latest teaser for the game confirms Misty will also be at the head of Cerulean City's gym. Debuting in both Generation I and the original anime, Misty's presence confirms the new game will be more a remake than previously believed.
The creators of Let's Go have stressed that it won't be a complete remake of Pokémon Red and Blue, but so far it seems many of the key elements will remain the same. The initial 151 Pokémon (plus their new Alolan forms) will be the only ones in the game, and Kanto and its familiar gyms will be the backdrop. Of course, the new graphics and added features alone will help make this an interesting walk down memory lane for past players.
Along with having your core companion and another Pokémon who travels out of the Poké Ball with you, Let's Go will feature a section where your roster from Pokémon Go can be accessed. The new trailer also shows the variety of Pokémon you can ride, and proves that even the flailing Magikarp can be a companion. Plus, your Pikachu or Eevee can be male or female and have different hairstyles.
Let's Go isn't the only thing on the horizon for Pokémon fans. Next year will see a new core RPG for the Nintendo Switch that will be a completely unique experience from a gameplay standpoint. The 2019 Pokémon RPG will have new characters and is said to be exactly what longtime fans have been waiting for. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are taking advantage of having both new and old players, and the coming years look to appeal to both.
