The Curious Tea Party event in his heartbreaking story in Pokémon Legends Arceus. However, instead of running the Battle Subway with his twin brother Emmet, or struggling to regain his memories in the Hisui region, he will be acting as a butler for Pokémon Masters EX's springtime event.
The Pokémon game series has a surprisingly large number of well-rounded and popular NPCs that have featured in different games throughout the years. In recent games like Sun and Moon, and Sword and Shield, characters like Lillie, Leon, and Hop have provided deeper and more complex stories than the earlier characters limited by technology and older consoles. Because of this, seeing less developed characters like Ingo and Emmet in Pokémon Masters EX can be an exciting way to learn more about their personalities and stories.
In a recent update for Pokémon Masters EX's Curious Tea Party Event on the Pokémon website, it has been announced the Sync Pair of Ingo and Accelgor will be available to scout from April 20 to May 3, 2022. They will be part of a sub-story for the Curious Tea Party event called "Ingo's Party Prep—Way of the Butler." Ingo and Accelgor will be a Bug-type Sync Pair and will feature a technical battle style. However, players will need to advance to Tier 10 in order to obtain the ticket allowing them to scout the special costume version of Ingo, which could be a frustrating roadblock for those wanting the chance to battle alongside him.
This version of Black and White's Ingo, which differs from his classic Unova outfit already added to Pokémon Masters EX, has him in a black suit jacket and slacks with red accents, and a matching top hat. His appearance is a direct mirror of his twin brother Emmet, who wears a white suit for the event. Ingo will also be sporting a monocle and white gloves, adding to the overall appearance of a formal butler. Oddly enough, the strange sideburns from Ingo's original design have also been incorporated into the top hat he wears, making it unclear if they are hair or an extension of the hat. Despite this, the special costume is striking, and a handsome way to expand variations of characters for player teams.
Unfortunately, Pokémon Masters EX continues to be disappointing for some Pokémon fans due to the heavy reliance on microtransactions during gameplay. In order to scout most characters, currency is needed, and the process is largely based on gambling. Players can't pick the character they want when scouting, and more popular characters have a much lower chance of being scouted than generic NPCs few are interested in. While this can be frustrating, having the chance to scout Ingo in his handsome outfit for Pokémon Masters EX gameplay could be worth the gamble, and he could be a powerful Bug-type asset for battle strategy.
