Lillie will be arriving in Lillie made her debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon, then appeared again in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. She is the mysterious and initially shy assistant to Professor Kukui, and the daughter of the main villain Lusamine.
As of the time of writing, Pokémon Masters EX is hosting a springtime event called Curious Tea Party. This features popular characters such as Sonia, Emmet, and Ingo in new special tea party-themed costumes. In the event's story, the trio is hosting a large tea party full of challenges for the player to solve with the help of other Pokémon and trainers. This endearing bit of content could be a chance for Pokémon Masters EX to stop disappointing fans and offer deeper content.
This special version of Lillie and Polteageist will be the starring characters in the Curious Tea Party's story. In the story, Lillie and Polteageist attend a tea party hosted by Sonia with the player, while Lillie sports a new party dress with a design that matches her Polteageist partner. From that point, Lillie and the player will work together to solve Pokémon-themed riddles and puzzles together. As detailed by the Pokémon Masters EX players will earn rewards such as gems and story keys as they finish each chapter, and the keys can be used to unlock a Lillie-centered sub-story called "Lillie's Party Prep-An Eye for Beauty." The sub-story focuses on Lillie as she prepares to go to Sonia's tea party alongside the gym leader Wallace.
In battle, Lillie and Polteageist are a Ghost-type sync pair, complete with the Ghost-type attack Astonish. They also have a special move called "It's Teatime!" which raises Special Attack stats in addition to granting the Gradual Healing effect to all allied sync pairs. Their sync move is called "Curious Flavor Ghost Beam," referencing Polteageist being able to give a special cup of tea to a trainer it deems worthy.
Lillie has proven to be a favorite among fans ever since her initial debut in Sun and Moon. This is further evidenced by the fact that the Curious Tea Party costume is the fourth time she's been included in Pokémon Masters EX since its debut in 2019. Lillie and Polteageist will be available for players to scout onto their team until May 3, 2022.
